(Baonghean.vn) - Korean media reported that the representative company of coach Park Hang-seo requested to delete or edit incorrect information about the captain of the Vietnamese team; Because the Covid-19 epidemic situation in many countries in Asia is still not under control, the clubs are still worried.

Coach Park's representative requested to remove false information

"The issues about Coach Park Hang-seo's annual salary that have been continuously posted on some YouTube pages are baseless. Those videos are all interpreted in a provocative way, without confirmation," Chosun quoted a statement from DJ Management, Coach Park's representative.

"These videos are causing unnecessary doubts and malicious misunderstandings for the Korean and Vietnamese public. The false information is damaging the reputation and work of Coach Park and his team, as well as the Vietnam Football Federation."

The announcement from Coach Park's representative company was released on December 3. Accordingly, the videos "Coach Park is about to go to China" or "Vietnam's fan club betrays Coach Park" on YouTube have made football fans confused.

Several Korean newspapers have also denounced false videos about Coach Park. Sports-g said that many Korean YouTubers have taken advantage of Coach Park's name to attract viewers and provide false information.

"There are a lot of YouTubers who have made videos related to Coach Park, but they have never even gotten to the point," Park's agent Lee Dong-joon told Sports-g.

The representative company said that Coach Park and his assistants are always busy. Since arriving in Vietnam, Mr. Park and his colleagues have made continuous efforts for the development of Vietnamese football, while also contributing to the cooperative relationship between Vietnamese and Korean football.
V.League representatives nervous about continental tournament

Last September, the AFC decided to cancel the matches in the AFC Cup 2020. Accordingly, although they had many advantages in winning tickets to continue, Than.QN and TP.HCM had to stop competing in this playground. At that time, the decision to cancel the AFC Cup 2020 was unavoidable because the Covid-19 epidemic in many Asian countries was still complicated and although the AFC had a plan to bring foreign clubs to Vietnam to play at neutral venues, in the end that could not happen.

Although the AFC Cup 2020 was canceled, the AFC later announced good news for Vietnamese football. Accordingly, in order to encourage and create opportunities for Asian football to develop, it decided to increase the number of clubs participating in the AFC Champions League group stage from 32 to 40.

Therefore, the 2020 V.League champion will get a direct ticket to the 2021 AFC Champions League group stage and will be divided by AFC into groups in the Eastern region. In addition, there will be 2 representatives of Vietnamese football, the National Cup champion and the 3rd place team in the 2020 V.League, participating in the 2021 AFC Cup.

After the 2020 season ended, Viettel was the team that won a ticket to the AFC Champions League group stage, while Hanoi and Saigon FC participated in the AFC Cup 2021. In the past time, these 3 teams have prepared their forces to participate in the continental arena.

Vietnam U19 expected to attend U20 World Cup 2021

The AFC U19 Championship will now take place in March 2021, after the original schedule for October this year was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The tournament is taking place at this time because the U20 World Cup will kick off in Indonesia in May.
Despite being passive in terms of time, in the recent past, coach Philippe Troussier has still actively organized short-term or long-term training sessions to gather U19 Vietnam players, thereby having a good enough preparation step before entering the 2020 AFC U19 Championship.

Vietnam U19 is expected to attend the 2021 U20 World Cup.

On the VFF side, Permanent Vice President Tran Quoc Tuan hopes: “Hopefully our team can participate in the U20 World Cup. Through the experiences of the U20 World Cup, our players have matured very quickly. The proof is that the U20 Vietnam team participating in the U20 World Cup 2017 has 5-6 players who, although very young, already have official positions. There are even cases where they are now irreplaceable in the national team. The motivation and expectation for our young teams is to continue the legacy of the senior generation, regularly entering the regional finals to thereby have a lever towards the World Cup later on.”

Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan also shared: “We focus on the U19 team because this is the generation of players aiming for the 2026 World Cup. This is the golden age that needs investment when opportunities open up for Asian countries. We need to prepare and invest for this age group. Regarding Troussier's philosophy and style, he confided that all work is aimed at the national team. He has made adjustments to match the philosophy of Coach Park Hang-seo. That is the research and appropriate thinking to have a connection with the national team. Through many meetings between Mr. Troussier and Mr. Park, the national teams have a unified direction."

At the 2020 AFC U19 Championship, Vietnam U19 is in the same group with Australia, Laos and Saudi Arabia. There is a chance for Vietnam U19 to pass the group stage.
