(Baonghean.vn) - In recent years, the Party Committee, government and people of Do Luong district have been synchronously implementing urban development solutions to ensure the criteria of a type 4 urban area, aiming to become Do Luong town and play the role of a driving force for development in the Southwest region of Nghe An.

Do Luon Towng has an important geographical position and is the political and economic center of the district. In recent times, with the attention and support of all levels, sectors and the consensus of the people, Do Luong town has strived to effectively implement the planning and development of civilized urban areas.

Is an urban area considered the driving force for socio-economic development of Do Luong andSouthwest region,Do Luong town has focused on synchronous development in all areas, in which planning and urban construction stand out. Currently, the total land area of ​​the town is 234 hectares (including nearly 50 hectares of agricultural land). The town pays great attention to land management, planning, and land use planning.

In the process of implementing the planning, priority is always given to investing in urban development projects and works. One of the effective actions of the town is to plan and build an industrial cluster (IC) in the town to move production facilities and industries out of residential areas and create favorable conditions for production and business development. The IC in Do Luong town is planned on an area of ​​7.7 hectares, where synchronous investment in technical infrastructure is made and this is a favorable location for production and business, so it attracts the attention of units and businesses. Currently, in this IC, there are 13 enterprises investing in production and filling 100% of the area. Most of the enterprises are producing and doing business effectively and especially creating a number of quality products, high economic value, competitive enough in the market.

In the past time, Do Luong town has invested more than 81 billion VND in basic construction, thanks to which, 50 projects have been implemented, of which, the people contributed 10 billion VND to build cultural centers, sports fields, sidewalk block bricks... Implementing the policy of building a town that meets civilized urban standards, Do Luong town has well performed its responsibility of state management of planning and construction order; General planning, zoning planning and detailed urban planning have been approved by competent authorities and publicly announced in the area. The town promptly and thoroughly handles violations of the law on planning, architecture, urban construction... Public works on administration, culture - society and urban infrastructure have been invested in construction, upgrading and renovation to meet standards to serve the people.

Currently, the town has completed naming 15 streets and basically completed the installation of signs and house numbering... With that result, the town has achieved 24/25 civilized urban criteria (currently there are 3 blocks that have not completed the construction of cultural houses and sports fields).

Faced with the rapid urbanization of Do Luong town, the management of land, resources and environment is strictly managed by the town and implemented in accordance with the approved development plan. The town has focused on supplementing the planning for infrastructure and economic development in the Lam River area and considers this one of the important "highlights" of the urban landscape. In the coming time, the town will continue to create favorable conditions to attract investment in urban embellishment projects, put into use the commercial center combined with the traditional market; complete the Cau Dau urban area project; promote investment in the Dong Vuon Xanh urban area; plan to build the residential area at Cau Ro; expand the traffic route from the monument intersection through the resettlement area connecting the riverside road to create a walking street and night business...

Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoi - Head of the Economic and Infrastructure Department of Do Luong District People's Committee said: "Do Luong District is implementing the project of the administrative center of Do Luong District (expanding the southern part of Do Luong Town). Accordingly, the administrative center of Do Luong District has a planning area of ​​about 270 hectares.

According to the planning orientation, the central area will concentrate the agencies, political - social, defense and security organizations of Do Luong district and be the cultural - sports and commercial center associated with green space. Along with that, residential areas, commercial streets will be planned... Here, synchronous technical infrastructure will be invested in, meeting the requirements of sustainable development and environmental protection... In addition, the district has also approved the urban construction planning of Do Luong until 2025, oriented to 2040 with the goal of becoming a modern, dynamic Do Luong town, worthy of being the development pole of the Southwest Nghe An region"...
