Attending the press conference were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and provincial departments, branches and sectors; representatives of local and resident press agencies.
At the press conference, Standing CommitteeProvincial People's Councilannounced the program and content of the 17th session of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII, 2016 - 2021, scheduled to take place in 3 days (December 11 to 13, 2020).
The session will review and approve 25 draft resolutions related to the 2021 socio-economic development plan; the 5-year socio-economic development plan (2021-2025) and a number of policies to stimulate development as well as support specific subjects.
New points in this sessionquestionInstead of choosing specific topics, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council plans to question unresolved issues according to the Conclusion of the Questioning Committee of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the supervision recommendations of the Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council Committees from the beginning of the term until now, as well as some pressing issues that are being raised.

At the press conference, press agencies highly appreciated the activities of the Provincial People's Council in recent times, especially its role in supervising issues that people are concerned about and recommending competent authorities to resolve them, while also issuing many mechanisms and policies to resolve difficult practical problems.
Some journalists also recommended that the Provincial People's Council strengthen its activities of criticizing policy making and monitoring policy implementation as well as pressing issues; and continue to have solutions to improve the quality of Provincial People's Council delegates.
In addition, representatives of some press agencies also raised a number of concerns related to theinvestment projectIn case of unfinished clean water supply or investment but ineffective operation, it is recommended that the Provincial People's Council take action.

Some press agencies also raised some questions such as: Does the province currently have a policy to attract investors to invest in rural clean water projects? How to resolve the issue of land allocation without authority from July 1, 2014 and earlier to ensure the rights of the people; the issue of hydroelectric flood discharge; violations in some projects...
Based on the opinions of the press agencies, representatives of the leaders of the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, Natural Resources and Environment, Construction, Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and Industry and Trade explained and clarified a number of related issues.

Speaking at the press conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Cao Thi Hien thanked the press agencies and journalists for their support of the Provincial People's Council's activities in recent times.
Affirming that the issues raised by the press agencies at the press conference are all practical issues and the responsibility of the Provincial People's Council will be to synthesize them to propose to the Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches to resolve them; at the same time, research and bring them to the 17th session of the Provincial People's Council in the group discussion session and discussion in the hall related to the issues raised by journalists.
