Nghe An appoints new Head of Provincial Ethnic Committee
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 9, the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Nghe An province held a ceremony to announce the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman on the transfer and appointment of the Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee.
Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee;
Comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Le Hong Vinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Hoang Nghia Hieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Nam Dinh - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc;
Comrades: Cao Thi Hien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of departments, branches, sectors, and the Standing Committee of Con Cuong District Party Committee.
At the ceremony, the Provincial Department of Home Affairs announced Decision No. 4356/QD-UBND dated December 1, 2020 of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman Nguyen Duc Trung on the transfer and appointment for a term of 5 years for comrade Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Chairman of the Con Cuong District People's Committee to hold the position of Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee.

Presenting the decision and congratulating Comrade Vi Van Son - Head of the Provincial Ethnic Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong emphasized that this is a great responsibility and task that the Party Committee and the government trust to entrust to the new Head of the Provincial Ethnic Committee. In addition, the appointment of Comrade Vi Van Son this time also shows the province's special attention to the Provincial Ethnic Committee.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested Comrade Vi Van Son to quickly approach work in the new environment, focus on performing well the advisory function for the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee and deploy the tasks of implementing the Party and State's policies, guidelines, mechanisms and policies for ethnic minorities and mountainous areas.

Emphasizing the special attention of the Party and State to ethnic minorities and mountainous areas, comrade Nguyen Van Thong suggested that the Provincial Ethnic Committee deploy that attention into concrete values to help ethnic minorities overcome difficulties, especially in the work of hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and getting rich.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also requested the new Head of the Provincial Ethnic Committee to strengthen research, grasp, and understand policies, guidelines, mechanisms, and policies related to ethnic minorities and mountainous areas; promote the sense of personal responsibility, solidarity, and together with the collective of the Provincial Ethnic Committee to perform well the tasks in the coming time, building a clean and strong collective of the Committee.

Speaking on accepting the assignment, Comrade Vi Van Son - Head of the Provincial Ethnic Committee thanked the attention and trust of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, he promised to make great efforts, overcome difficulties and challenges, wholeheartedly, approach and grasp the local situation closely; constantly study, practice, improve in all aspects, uphold the sense of responsibility for the common development of Nghe An province.
