This is the first time Nghe An has won first prize in this competition. The “multi-purpose water wheel” of Dien Hai Secondary School students won third prize at the Nghe An Province Youth and Children’s Creativity Contest in 2020. The device can be used to collect trash in rivers and streams. At the same time, the energy of water currents can be exploited to rotate a generator to create alternating current.

In particular, this water wheel can convert the mechanical energy of water into the mechanical energy of a pump to pump water without using electricity. Exploiting green energy is the strong flow of water in rivers and streams to collect trash, pump water or generate electricity that can replace energy sources from coal, gasoline, oil, etc. to serve people's lives, production and daily activities, contributing to reducing environmental pollution as well as educating people to protect the environment.
