Dramatic draw with Viettel, SLNA meets Nam Dinh in the National U21 semi-finals
(Baonghean.vn) - In the final match of Group B - National U21 Finals 2020, U21 SLNA, although letting U21 Viettel take the lead, Van Viet's valuable goal helped the home team gain an important point and advance to the semi-finals.
Participating in the semi-finals while the opponent has already secured a ticket to the next round with 6 points. Therefore, entering this match, coach Dinh Van Dung's students decided to play solidly on the home field and wait for a counter-attack opportunity.
Viettel put many key players on the bench, the first 45 minutes of the match took place without many dangerous opportunities created. The first half ended with the score 0-0.
Entering the second half, U21 Viettel was eager to win when they sent two quality players, Nham Manh Dung and Nguyen Huu Thang, onto the field. And they got what they wanted in the 68th minute thanks to a mistake by SLNA's defense.

Player Nham Manh Dung entered the penalty area of U21 SLNA and committed a foul. On the penalty spot, the 20-year-old striker made no mistake to score the opening goal for U21 Viettel.
Having taken the lead, U21 Viettel retreated to defend to protect the result while U21 SLNA was forced to push forward to find an equalizer to achieve the set goal of 1 point. Players such as Dang Quang Tu, Tran Tien Anh, Ho Van Cuong were continuously sent onto the field by coach Dinh Van Dung.
Finally, the tireless efforts of the Nghe An team were duly rewarded. In the 83rd minute, Van Viet continued to run forward to face the opposing goalkeeper and shoot, the ball bounced from the goalkeeper to a Viettel player and flew into the net, helping U21 SLNA equalize the score 1-1.

In the remaining time, U21 SLNA played deep defense to protect the results while U21 Viettel was not too enthusiastic in attacking. In the end, U21 SLNA and U21 Viettel tied with a score of 1-1. In the remaining match, U21 Pho Hien defeated U21 Long An 4-0.
With the above results, U21 SLNA won a ticket to the semi-finals as the second place in Group B to meet U21 Nam Dinh. Meanwhile, U21 Viettel only has to meet U21 Dong Thap in the remaining semi-final match. The semi-finals will take place on December 17.
