In recent years, with the timely attention and support of relevant levels and sectors, and the efforts of the management team, teachers and staff of Cua Nam 2 Primary School, many achievements have been achieved. In recent years, the school has had many teachers and students win high prizes in competitions organized by the Department of Education and Training.

In the 2019-2020 school year, the school had 19 classes with 677 students and 40 staff and teachers, including 1 teacher who won the title of Provincial Emulation Fighter, 4 teachers who won the title of City Emulation Fighter, 11 teachers who taught well at the school. For many consecutive years, the school has won the title of City-level Advanced School.

In particular, in 2020, the school carried out the assessment work according to Circular 17/2018/TT-BGDDT. Issued on August 22, 2018 on educational quality assessment and recognition of national standard schools for primary schools. The self-assessment process ensures full guidance steps. Since then, the school has consulted with local authorities to expand the land fund for planning schools and classrooms. Building spacious classrooms and investing in modern teaching equipment, the cost is up to 23 billion VND.

The Department of Education and Training has conducted an assessment of the criteria for building a national standard school. The content includes 5 standards and 27 criteria, the result is 100% of the criteria meet items 1,2. The criteria for level 3 reached 73.6%. Comparing with Circular 17, Cua Nam 2 Primary School meets the criteria for education quality level 2 and meets the national standard school level 1.

Speaking at the ceremony, leaders of departments and branches of Vinh city acknowledged and praised the achievements of the school, and at the same time wished to continue promoting those results for the school to develop comprehensively and determined to build a national standard school level II.
