Visiting and congratulating the Provincial Border Guard Command, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy acknowledged and commended the results and achievements that the Provincial Border Guard force achieved in 2020; continuing to excellently complete its tasks in 2021.

2020 was a very difficult year, especially due to the impact of natural disasters and epidemics, but the province took drastic actions; was flexible in management and leadership and achieved relatively good results compared to the general level; in which national defense - security, social order and safety were ensured.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that in that overall result, there was a very positive and important contribution from the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard, affirming their role as frontline soldiers to protect national sovereignty and territory.

In addition, the provincial Border Guard has made important contributions to the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic; arranging nearly 70 fixed and mobile checkpoints along the border to block. The Covid-19 epidemic is still complicated, so the border guard force needs to continue to focus on performing its tasks well.

In the coming time, in preparation for the 13th National Party Congress, the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that the Provincial Border Guard force continue to focus on improving its sense of responsibility; strengthen and be more active in border patrol and control, quickly detect incidents, advise Party committees and authorities at all levels to quickly handle the situation, avoid surprises and passivity, in order to contribute to ensuring stability of the situation.

Continue to maintain good relations and carry out foreign affairs well with Laos; do a good job of helping local people develop their economy; consolidate and improve the effectiveness of the model of Party Secretary of border communes who are border guards; at the same time, well implement the policy of increasing Deputy Secretaries of district-level Party Committees in border areas who are border guards; continue to train, strengthen discipline and order, and take care of and improve the lives of officers and soldiers.

The provincial military forces have a firm grasp of the area, especially the special areas, advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to propose policies and solutions for the implementation of military and defense tasks. In addition, they strictly implement the combat readiness regime and do a good job of mass mobilization as well as military regimes and policies, contributing to the overall results of the province.

Entering 2021 - the first year of the term to implement the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command to continue advising the province, Party committees and authorities at all levels to firmly grasp the area, especially in key and special areas, to avoid being passive and unexpected.

The Provincial Military Command also needs to be proactive and proactive in advising the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, all levels and sectors to prepare the best conditions to meet the requirements of the provincial defense zone exercise; continue to uphold discipline and order so that discipline becomes the strength of the army, associated with taking care of the lives of officers and soldiers; continue to do well in the work of the military rear; pay attention to mass mobilization work, stay close to the people, and stick with the people to continue to cultivate the beautiful image of Uncle Ho's soldiers.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested the Provincial Military Command to continue to promote and effectively implement the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, including the work of quarantining people returning from epidemic areas; strengthen the grasp of the security and order situation in the area to work with other forces to ensure the situation well, contributing to the successful organization of the 13th National Congress of the Party and the election of National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels.

Visiting the Provincial Veterans Association, on behalf of the provincial leaders, the Provincial Party Secretary expressed his joy that in recent years, the veterans have continued to promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers and the revolutionary traditions of their homeland, making very positive and effective contributions to the process of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the province, and have been trusted and highly appreciated by the Party Committee, the government, all walks of life, and localities in the province. Through activities and movements, the Association of War Veterans has gathered and encouraged members to take the lead and be exemplary in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; to be a positive factor in strongly responding to patriotic emulation movements and campaigns of the Central and the province, most notably participating in building new rural areas.

Besides,The Association of War Veterans also carries out many meaningful activities.such as building charity houses for members and people. There are members of the CCB Association who, despite their old age, are still at the forefront of labor and production, becoming typical examples of production and business; job creation, humanitarian and charitable activities, and making huge contributions to the State budget.

The Association has also closely coordinated with agencies, departments, branches at all levels and localities to organize traditional education for the younger generation about patriotism, homeland traditions, self-reliance, self-improvement, and aspirations to rise up;...

In the coming time, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy hopes that the Association of War Veterans will continue to promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, train in the army, mature from the army, become the leading flag in movements to lead the next generations to continue to build and develop the economy, ensure national defense and security, contribute to building the province to rise strongly, to realize the goal of becoming a well-off province in the Northern region by 2025 and a well-off province in the whole country by 2030 as set out in the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress./.
