Rescuing 2 Nghe An girls who were tricked and sold to China
(Baonghean.vn) - From information about a young woman being tricked and sold to China and rescued, the investigation agency has clarified a network specializing in cross-border human trafficking.
On December 24, the Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) and the Blue Dragon Child Protection Organization handed over two victims who were tricked into being sold as wives to Chinese men to their families in Bao Nam commune (Ky Son district) and Huu Khuong commune (Tuong Duong district).

Regarding the incident, from the victim's testimony, on the same day, Ky Son District Police arrested Cut Van Ut (32 years old, residing in Na Be village, Xa Luong commune) for the crime ofChild traffickingAccording to Ut's statement, he knew a woman named Van from Thanh Chuong district who was married and living in China. Ut was then told by Van to join a human trafficking ring. If he successfully tricked a woman into going to China, Ut would be paid 5 million VND by Van.

Accepting Van's request, Ut then began to look for "prey". In April 2019, he approached the family of a Khmu girl under 15 years old in Bao Nam commune. After getting to know her, Ut staged a scene to take this girl to the South to work to escape poverty and then send her to China. The girl was then tricked into being sold as a wife to a Chinese man for 80,000 yuan (about 240 million VND).
After being rescued, while in quarantine, the victim reported Ut’s actions to the police. On the day the young woman was reunited with her family, Ut was arrested by the police.
Also rescued in this batch was a victim from Huu Khuong commune. This girl was tricked and sold in 2015. According to the victim's testimony, 5 years ago, in addition to her, there were 2 other young women from the same hometown who were also tricked and sold to China as wives.
The case is under further investigation by the police.
