Arrest of subject hiding more than 100kg of firecrackers in truck and private house
(Baonghean.vn) - Nguyen Van Nhat was driving a truck carrying 80 boxes of firecrackers, weighing 115kg in the back of the truck, and had traveled more than 1km from his home when he was surrounded and arrested by the police.
At around 11:00 a.m. on December 23, in Hamlet 2, Quynh Luong Commune, Quynh Luu District, Hoang Mai Town Police successfully discovered a case, arresting Nguyen Van Nhat (born in 1989), residing in Quynh Minh Commune, Quynh Luu District, for illegal possession offirecracker.
At the scene, the police discovered and seized 20 boxes of fireworks (36 pieces) that the subject had left behind the back of a truck just over 1 km from his house.

Immediately afterwards, the police force conducted an emergency search of the suspect's house in Hamlet 6, Quynh Minh Commune, Quynh Luu District, and seized 60 more boxes of explosive fireworks (36 and 49 pieces), which the suspect had put in 3 Styrofoam boxes and hidden in the house. The total number of fireworks seized was 80 boxes of fireworks, weighing 115kg.
The subject admitted to the crime and confessed to buying it to explode on New Year's Eve and Lunar New Year to bring good luck in business.
Currently, Hoang Mai Town Police are detaining the subject, continuing to investigate and handle according to regulations.
