Nghe An issues telegram to cope with severe cold
(Baonghean.vn) - At 10:00 a.m. on December 28, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Nghe An province issued Official Dispatch No. 21/CD-BCHPCTT-TKCN on responding to severe cold.
The content of the telegram stated that, according to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from December 30, in the Northern and North Central provinces, the weather will turn cold, with the lowest temperature of 8-11 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas 4-7 degrees Celsius, in high mountainous areas there is a possibility of frost and frost; there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places.

+ Strictly implement Official Dispatch No. 42/CD-TW dated December 27, 2020 of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control - National Committee for Incident, Disaster Response and Search and Rescue; continue to implement Official Dispatch No. 19/CD-BCH PCTT&TKCN dated December 5, 2020 of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of Nghe An province on responding to severe cold.
+ Regularly update weather conditions, developments of cold air, severe cold, and severe cold; increase the time of broadcasting information on mass media, especially the grassroots information and communication system so that authorities at all levels and people, especially in highland areas, know and proactively prevent and combat.
+ Focus on directing the implementation of measures to ensure safety for people, especially the elderly, children, and students, and implementing measures to minimize production losses, focusing on large livestock herds and concentrated livestock farms in particularly difficult areas, remote areas. Propagate and warn people not to use coal-burning stoves in closed houses.
+ Direct specialized departments and offices to inspect and urge the work of preventing and fighting cold for people, livestock and crops.

+ The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development directs and guides localities on the implementation of cold and disease prevention and control for livestock, aquatic products and crops; develops and adjusts production plans and crop structures in accordance with weather conditions and developments.
+ Nghe An Radio and Television Station, Nghe An Newspaper and press agencies regularly update information and developments of severe cold, strong winds and big waves at sea on mass media so that people know and proactively prevent.
+ Organize a 24/7 on-duty team, regularly report to the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control (through the Standing Office) when there are unexpected situations for timely handling./.
