(Baonghean.vn) - Speaking at the Conference on deploying propaganda tasks on seas and islands in 2021, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu hoped that in the coming time, the Naval Region 1 Command and the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department will continue to have increasingly closer coordination, contributing to protecting the sacred sovereignty of the seas and islands of the Fatherland.
On the morning of January 8, in Vinh city, the Naval Region 1 Command coordinated with the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committees of 6 provinces: Quang Ninh, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Hung Yen, Tuyen Quang to organize a conference to review the coordination of propaganda work on seas and islands in 2020 and deploy tasks in 2021.
Attending the conference were: Rear Admiral Pham Van Quang - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs, Navy; Colonel Ho Thanh Hoan - Political Commissar of Naval Region 1 Command; Rear Admiral Nguyen Viet Khanh - Commander of Naval Region 1; representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department of 5 provinces.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Ngoc Kim Nam - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department.

Report of the Naval Region 1 Command, in 2020, the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee coordinated withNaval Region 1 CommandOrganize information and propaganda activities. More than 200 reporters from central and local news agencies and radio stations visited and encouraged officers and soldiers; wrote hundreds of news and articles reflecting the activities of the region on the mass media.
The Naval Region 1 Command distributed 1,500 leaflets, presented 380 national flags, 530 life buoys, 10 savings books, and 60 gifts worth 181 million VND to poor fishing families in the provinces.
At the same time, continue to coordinate effectively in organizing conferences, exchanges, competitions, delegations visiting and encouraging soldiers and people in coastal and island areas. At the same time, promote the effectiveness of twinning activities, coordinate in building units and localities, and implement the policy of "Army Rear".

At the conference, Rear Admiral Pham Van Quang - Deputy Chief of Naval Politics informed some general features of the current sea and island situation and forecasts for the coming time. Thereby, the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee of 6 provinces needs to coordinate more closely with the Naval Region 1 Command to orient propaganda, contributing to protecting the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's CommitteeHoang Nghia Hieusaid: The synchronous coordination between levels and sectors has been implemented in many aspects and is increasingly effective in the propaganda work of seas and islands. Up to now, in the coastal districts and towns of Nghe An, 58 self-management teams have been established, with 455 vehicles and 4,291 members of safe boats.
