Localities and units support the poor

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 12, many activities took place in the province to support the poor and those in difficult circumstances.

*District Party Committee, People's Council, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nam Dan districtheld a launching ceremony to support "Tet for the poor - Tan Suu 2021".

Over the years, the "Tet for the Poor" activities have always received the attention and enthusiastic response of local authorities at all levels in Nam Dan. In 2020 alone, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee from district to grassroots level gave away more than 4,280 gifts, worth more than 2.2 billion VND.

Responding to the appeal letter of the Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on supporting and helping the poor to celebrate the Lunar New Year. At the ceremony, 18 agencies, units, businesses and organizations inside and outside the area donated 515.5 million VND.
100% of localities, units and organizations in the district will launch and join hands to donate and support poor households, near-poor households, policy families and people in difficult circumstances to have a warm and full traditional Tet holiday.

Senior Lieutenant Thai Van Tuan has a difficult family situation, his wife does not have a stable job, his two children are still young, and he has not been able to build a house. After the survey, the Party Committee of the Military Region General Staff considered building a house of gratitude for Comrade Tuan's family.

After more than 3 months of construction, the house has an area of ​​nearly 100 m2was completed on schedule, ensuring quality; total construction cost over 250 million VND. Of which, the General Staff supported 80 million VND, officers and soldiers of Battalion 52 supported construction days, the remaining cost was from family savings and borrowing from relatives.

This is an activity demonstrating the sense of responsibility, care and support for comrades of officers, employees and soldiers of the General Staff and Battalion 52.
