(Baonghean.vn) - On January 12th, many activities to support the poor and assist those in difficult circumstances took place throughout the province.

*Nam Dan District Party Committee, People's Council, and Vietnam Fatherland Front CommitteeThey organized a fundraising campaign for "Tet for the Poor - Tan Suu 2021".

Over the years, the "Tet for the Poor" activities have always received enthusiastic support and attention from local authorities in Nam Dan district. In 2020 alone, the Fatherland Front Committees from the district to the grassroots level donated more than 4,280 gift packages, worth over 2.2 billion VND.

Responding to the appeal from the Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee to support and assist the poor in celebrating the Lunar New Year of the Ox, 18 agencies, units, businesses, and organizations from within and outside the province donated a total of 515.5 million VND at the ceremony.
100% of localities, units, and organizations in the district will organize campaigns and join hands to donate and support poor households, near-poor households, policy beneficiary families, and people facing difficult circumstances so that they can celebrate the traditional Tet holiday warmly and fully.

*4th Military Region StaffThe inauguration and handover ceremony of the "House of Gratitude" was held for Senior Lieutenant Thai Van Tuan, a professional military officer and ordnance officer of Battalion 52, Military Region Staff, residing in Hamlet 2, Nghi Thach Commune, Vinh City.

Senior Lieutenant Thai Van Tuan comes from a disadvantaged family; his wife lacks a stable job, and their two children are young, leaving them without the means to build a house. After an assessment, the Party Committee of the Military Region's General Staff considered building a house of gratitude for Comrade Tuan's family.

After more than 3 months of construction, the house has an area of ​​nearly 100 square meters.2The project was completed on schedule and to a high standard; the total construction cost was over 250 million VND. Of this, the General Staff contributed 80 million VND, officers and soldiers of Battalion 52 provided labor, and the remaining funds were saved by the family and borrowed from relatives.

This activity demonstrates the sense of responsibility, care, and camaraderie among officers, staff, and soldiers of the General Staff Department and Battalion 52.
