Hanoi FC wins big at the 2020 Vietnam Golden Ball awards.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of January 12th, the 2020 Vietnam Golden Ball Awards Gala took place in Ho Chi Minh City. Accordingly, the men's Golden Ball award went to Nguyen Van Quyet of Hanoi FC, and the women's Golden Ball award went to Huynh Nhu.
Best female player: Ngan Thi Van Su (Hanoi FC)
The title of Best Young Female Player went to Ngan Thi Van Su, a 19-year-old striker. In the 2020 season, the girl from Nghe An province, along with Hanoi, won the National Runner-up title. She is currently also a member of the national team.
Outstanding young male player: Bui Hoang Viet Anh (Hanoi FC)
Vietnamese defender Viet Anh was honored in the Best Young Player category after becoming a key player in Hanoi FC's defense in the 2020 season. Viet Anh also recently scored the only goal that helped Hanoi win the National Super Cup for the fourth time on January 9th. The 22-year-old defender played 18 matches in the V.League last season.

Best foreign player: Bruno Cantanhede
Striker Bruno Cantanhede wins Best Foreign Player award. With 8 goals in 19 matches for Viettel last season, Bruno was awarded the Best Foreign Player award. He played a significant role in helping Viettel win the V.League 2020 championship. Currently, the 27-year-old Brazilian striker plays for Hanoi FC.
Futsal Golden Ball winner: Nguyen Minh Tri (Thai Son Nam)
This is Minh Tri's first Golden Ball win, following two Silver Ball wins in 2016 and 2019. "I'm a little nervous but very happy to receive this award," Pivo of Thai Son Nam shared after receiving the award.
Women's Golden Ball: Huynh Nhu (Ho Chi Minh City FC)
The Bronze Ball for women went to goalkeeper Tran Thi Kim Thanh. The 27-year-old goalkeeper from Long An helped Ho Chi Minh City win the National Championship in 2020. The Silver Ball went to Hanoi striker Pham Hai Yen, while striker Huynh Nhu won the Women's Golden Ball.
