Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue in Hamlet 6, Dien Thanh Commune added that not only cabbage but also kohlrabi and mustard greens are selling well. Since the beginning of the season, the price of kohlrabi has fluctuated from 5,000 - 7,000 VND/root (0.5 kg/root), mustard greens from 2,000 - 3,000 VND/kg. 1 sao of mustard greens yields about 2 tons, earning 5 - 6 million VND, in just 2 months. "After harvesting this crop, the family will return to work the land to grow mustard greens again to harvest after Tet" - Ms. Thanh said.

Mr. Le The Hieu - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Dien Chau district said: This winter crop, the district produced 3,700 hectares of vegetables, concentrated in the communes of Dien Thanh, Dien Thinh, Dien Loc, Dien Phong, Dien Hoang... Surveys in localities show that cabbage is the most expensive, 1 sao brings in an income of 12 million VND, some households "pocket" 15 million VND/sao right from the beginning of the season; followed by kohlrabi, cucumbers... Currently, people have finished harvesting the first crop, actively taking care of the second crop to sell near Tet. Households that have finished harvesting the first crop continue to prepare the land to replant, harvesting after Tet.

Nam Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh) has a Bo Ro field of over 4.5 hectares, specializing in winter crops. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, a farmer with over 1 sao of land in this field, said that cabbages rarely have a price like this year, from 7,000 to 10,000 VND/head. 1 sao of land grows 2,000 heads of head, and recently her family earned about 15 million VND.

Mr. Hoang Van Ha - Chairman of Nam Thanh Commune People's Committee said that because this year's winter vegetables sold at a good price, vegetable growers in Bo Ro field harvested from 12 to 15 million VND/sao. The winter crops that the farmers mainly grow are cabbage, kohlrabi, and cauliflower.

The coastal area of ​​Quynh Luu is the largest vegetable growing area in the province, with nearly 700 hectares. However, in the winter, people here mainly produce vegetables such as mustard greens, tomatoes, onions, etc. According to the people, although prices have not increased dramatically, vegetables are easy to sell. Traders place large orders every day, so there is no unsold situation like before.

Ms. Ho Thi Que in Quynh Minh commune (Quynh Luu) said that currently, mustard greens cost 2,000 VND/kg, onions 7,000 VND/kg, although not very high, but they sell well. Ms. Que's family has 2 sao of mustard greens, recently earning 8 million VND in just 2 months.
