Third working day of the 13th Congress: Discussing Congress documents

Attending the 13th National Party Congress were 1,587 delegates representing more than 5.1 million Party members. Among them, 191 delegates were members of the 12th Party Central Committee, 1,381 delegates were elected from the Party Congresses of provinces, cities and Party Committees directly under the Central Committee, and 15 delegates from Party Committees abroad appointed by the Politburo. There were 1,365 male delegates, accounting for 86.01%; 222 female delegates, accounting for 13.99%; and 175 ethnic minority delegates, accounting for 11.03% of the total number of delegates.

There are 3 delegates who are People's Armed Forces Heroes, accounting for 0.19%; 13 delegates who are Meritorious Teachers, accounting for 0.82%; 15 delegates who are People's Physicians and Meritorious Physicians, accounting for 0.95% of the total number of delegates.

Along with that, the Politburo assigned 4 Party Central Committee members to participate in the delegation, including: Phan Dinh Trac - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Internal Affairs Commission; Nguyen Thanh Binh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission; Ho Duc Phoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, State Auditor General; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.

On the second working day of the Congress, delegates listened to Party and State leaders read opening speeches at the Congress, presented the Report of the 12th Party Central Committee on documents submitted to the 13th Party Congress and the Report reviewing the leadership and direction of the 12th Party Central Committee.

During the sessiondiscussion at the delegation of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, many opinions highly agreed with the content of the reports prepared by the Politburo and the Central Executive Committee to be presented at the Congress; fully demonstrating the basic contents and solutions on the work of building and rectifying the Party and a clean and strong political system; continuing to comprehensively promote the innovation process, building and firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam; deeply demonstrating the will and aspirations of all classes of people for the development of the country in the 2021 - 2025 term and the coming decades.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the delegation of Nghe An province affirmed: The political reports have been prepared very carefully, scientifically, methodically and with quality by the Politburo and the Central Executive Committee; at the same time, comments and suggestions for the reports have been received to submit to the Congress Secretariat.

The Head of the Nghe An Provincial Delegation suggested that immediately after the Congress, the Central Committee should soon institutionalize the Resolution through legal regulations, mechanisms and policies so that Party committees and authorities at all levels can focus on successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party.
