Effectiveness from clearing violations of traffic safety corridors in Thanh Chuong
(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, people passing through Giang market area in Thanh Chuong district were surprised when the situation of people selling goods on the roadside was cleared.
Giang Market is located on National Highway 46C,Thanh Chuong districtAccording to the locals, the market has been around for a long time. On market days, the problem of people selling goods on the sidewalks is common, especially at the end of the year when people's shopping and travel needs increase.
Part of the reason is that the entire market area is located on the administrative boundaries of two communes (the market area belongs to Thanh Lien commune, and the area outside the National Highway belongs to Thanh Tien commune), making management difficult. This phenomenon has been going on for a long time, causing congestion, posing a high risk of traffic accidents, and causing public outrage.

Understanding the above situation, the District People's Committee has discussed solutions with units and localities to find ways to resolve it. In addition to rearranging and re-arranging the positions of vendors, before the market sessions, the District People's Committee has sent officers from the Economic and Infrastructure Department directly to the localities to inspect and guide people to strictly implement, not to let the situation of peoplestreet tradingg. Up to now, the above situation has not happened anymore, the National Highway has been cleared again, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and order in the area.
The above is one of many results that Thanh Chuong district has achieved in the process of implementing Resolution 56/NQ-HDND dated December 16, 2016 of the Provincial People's Council stipulating a number of measures to clear violations of road, railway and sidewalk traffic safety corridors in the province, period 2017-2020.

Every year, the District People's Committee regularly organizes high-profile campaigns to clear up violations andanti-encroachment of road corridorsthroughout the area
In addition, the propaganda and mobilization work for violators has been effectively carried out by Party committees, authorities and grassroots socio-political organizations, creating high consensus among the people. Many illegal constructions and architectural structures that have existed for a long time have been voluntarily dismantled by the people with the support of means, machinery and human resources from the local authorities.
Up to now, after 4 years of implementing the Resolution, Thanh Chuong district has organized 15 peak campaigns, resulting in the clearance of 127m2house, 1,794m2kiosk, 6,315m2canopy, 2,369 billboards and 1,259m2illegal construction of yard and steps

The awareness of officials and people has been raised, many violations have been detected and handled promptly, contributing to ensuring traffic safety order on the roads.
