(Baonghean.vn) - After suffering their second defeat in V.League 2021 against Saigon FC, SLNA coach Ngo Quang Truong pointed out the reasons why SLNA has yet to achieve a victory.

At Thong Nhat Stadium, striker Do MerloHe continued to play the hero with the only goal that helped the club defeat SLNA 1-0. The Nghe An team was completely outplayed, accurately reflecting the match's dynamics.

Speaking after the match, SLNA coach Ngo Quang Truong said: “Last year we were very lucky, but this year we are not. Our players haven't had enough time to bond, and the central defenders have received fewer cards and committed fewer fouls.”

In the match against Saigon, both teams played at a moderate pace. Whoever capitalized on their opportunities would win. The problem for SLNA was that we only had Phan Van Duc who could create breakthroughs. The Saigon players tried to frustrate Van Duc so that he couldn't play well.”

Coach Ngo Quang TruongSpeaking about having to play in empty stadiums: “SLNA has a large fan base in the South. We received similar support when playing in Saigon and Binh Duong. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have lost the encouragement from our fans.”

"After the recent matches, SLNA needs to identify its problems and improve. Certainly, after three winless games, we will try harder, and when the V.League resumes, SLNA hopes to play better."

On the part of Saigon FC, coach Vu Tien Thanh was delighted with his team's second victory, sharing: "These are considered the two most dedicated teams in the V.League. I always like players who play with dedication. If players are lazy in tackling, I don't like it."

Do Merlo and Matsui are both excellent players. They will be mentors for the younger generation. They not only play well on the field but also lead healthy and disciplined lives…

Football is intense, and the players want to win. That's why they engage in fierce challenges. In this match, the referee was very decisive in the contested situations. In the second half, referee Nguyen Ngoc Chau was firmer and more direct.”
