The armed forces of Hua Phan province extend New Year greetings to the border guards of Nghe An province.
(Baonghean.vn) - On February 2nd, at the Thong Thu sub-border gate (Que Phong district), a delegation from the Military Command and Police of Hua Phan province (Lao People's Democratic Republic) visited, presented gifts, and extended New Year greetings for the Year of the Ox 2021 to officers and soldiers of the Nghe An Border Guard.
The delegation from the Huaphanh Provincial Military Command was led by Lieutenant Colonel Phu Thit-Xeng Phen, Deputy Commander; the delegation from the Huaphanh Provincial Police was led by Colonel Phet Son-In Sou Phan. The delegation leaders extended New Year greetings of health and prosperity to all officers and soldiers of the unit. In particular, they congratulated the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam on its successful conclusion.

Due to Covid-19 prevention regulations, the New Year's greetings were exchanged at the border crossing in an unprecedented manner in the history of diplomatic relations between the two units. Members of the delegation presented New Year's gifts on a table set up on the road, wearing masks, and offered New Year's wishes without directly visiting the unit.
Over the past period, the Border Guard of Nghe An province and the Police and Military Command of Hua Phan province (Laos) have actively exchanged information and coordinated closely and effectively in managing and protecting border security and sovereignty, preventing illegal border crossings, and providing food, supplies, and other materials.COVID-19 prevention and control.
