(Baonghean.vn) - Over 1,000 medical staff and employees attended the “White Blouse Red Drops” Festival organized by the Nghe An Health Department. It is expected that about 600 units of blood will be collected at this festival.

On February 5, Nghe An Department of Health organized the 6th "Pink drops, white blouse" festival.

Attending the festival were representatives of the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Nghe An province; Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Health, and comrades in the Department's Board of Directors; a large number of medical staff, doctors, and nurses from provincial hospitals and specialized centers; Military Hospital 4, Vinh Transport Hospital and private hospitals located in the area.

The "Pink Drops White Blouse" festival has become an annual activity of the Nghe An Health sector and hundreds of patients have been saved by these "pink drops".

Given the current complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, to ensure the festival goes smoothly, we have arranged a medical declaration area, temperature measurement, and hand sanitizer for all volunteers who come to register to donate blood. Suspected cases will be placed in a temporary quarantine area. Doctor CKII Nguyen Dinh Khue - Director of Nghe An HHTM Center said.

It is expected that the “White Blous Drops” festival will collect about 600 units of blood. All blood will be screened by the Nghe An Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center and produced into blood products to serve emergency and treatment of blood diseases.
