More than 1,000 doctors and nurses donate blood at the 'White Blouse Red Drops' Festival
(Baonghean.vn) - Over 1,000 medical staff and employees attended the “White Blouse Red Drops” Festival organized by the Nghe An Health Department. It is expected that about 600 units of blood will be collected at this festival.

On February 5, Nghe An Department of Health organized the 6th "Pink drops, white blouse" festival.
Attending the festival were representatives of the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Nghe An province; Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Health, and comrades in the Department's Board of Directors; a large number of medical staff, doctors, and nurses from provincial hospitals and specialized centers; Military Hospital 4, Vinh Transport Hospital and private hospitals located in the area.
From early morning, more than 1,000 medical staff, doctors, nurses, employees and volunteers were present at the registration point to participate.donate bloodThe "Pink Drops and White Blouse" festival once again proved that doctors and nurses are imbued with Uncle Ho's teaching "A good doctor is like a mother".
This is also the best message for the noble act of donating blood to save lives, when the white-coated doctors are sharing and sending hope to the community "A drop of blood given, a life saved".

Speaking at the festival, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of Nghe An Department of Health acknowledged and highly appreciated the voluntary spirit of doctors, nurses and medical staff of the province; at the same time, he said that with their work, the team of doctors and nurses not only devoted their intelligence, enthusiasm and effort to treat patients, but also gave their precious blood to the community and patients. Hopefully, the "Pink Drops White Blouse" festival will spread and receive the response and active participation in voluntary blood donation from agencies, units, organizations, and people... to have enough blood for emergency treatment of patients.

Given the current complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, to ensure the festival goes smoothly, we have arranged a medical declaration area, temperature measurement, and hand sanitizer for all volunteers who come to register to donate blood. Suspected cases will be placed in a temporary quarantine area. Doctor CKII Nguyen Dinh Khue - Director of Nghe An HHTM Center said.
It is expected that the “White Blous Drops” festival will collect about 600 units of blood. All blood will be screened by the Nghe An Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center and produced into blood products to serve emergency and treatment of blood diseases.
