Maradona used beer and marijuana before his death

This information appeared in a conversation between Leopoldo Luque - Maradona's personal doctor in the last years of his life, and a medical staff. Accordingly, this person told Luque that the other staff could not stand Maradona, so they gave him marijuana and beer to calm him down.
"I didn't know how else to stop him. I couldn't take it anymore, and then Charly gave him marijuana," the medical worker said in a conversation with Dr. Luque. Charly was another medical worker on the team hired to care for Maradona.

Maradona poses with Dr. Luque after surgery to remove a brain hematoma shortly before the football legend passed away.

The man then continued: "Maradona had a habit of smoking every day. He said 'faso' to the security guards. They asked me, and I suggested that every time Maradona said that, it meant giving him a cigar. I saw marijuana crumbs scattered all over the house. The room was filled with this smell. The people who took care of Maradona did not dare to sleep. They were afraid that something would happen to him."

Maradona passed away on November 25, 2020. To this day, his death is still under investigation. Dr. Luque was the person who directly treated the football legend, but is also suspected of causing the death of the "Golden Boy" due to negligence.
On November 30, Luque had to explain to the media that he had done his best and that Maradona's death had nothing to do with the surgery he performed on the late player. "Diego surrendered to the disease and the medical staff did their duty," the doctor said.
