"Breaking into" the Mobile Police Company on the last night of the year while they were meeting and planning for the New Year's Eve shift. Lieutenant Colonel Ho Nam Long, Head of DepartmentMobile police, said: Holidays and Tet are the busiest times for the police force, including the Mobile Police force, because this is the time when crimes and social evils increase in activity, as well as violations of traffic safety laws occur frequently.

In addition to ensuring regular patrols, including 2 shifts (each shift consists of 12 people divided into 2 groups), the first shift patrols from 8pm - 12am, the second shift from 12am - 4am. On New Year's Eve, an additional car patrol team will be arranged, and additional forces will be deployed to areas where fireworks are often set off.

After the New Year's Eve, everyone left the city center to go pick the first spring buds, which was also the time the second shift set off. Everyone was fully equipped with support tools, including: bulletproof vests, rubber bullet guns, walkie-talkies... Each group had a group leader, a deputy group leader and 4 group members who were in constant contact with each other.

Sitting behind the police car, I seemed to look at the street with different eyes. It was no longer the leisurely way of watching people and the street. According to Senior Lieutenant Phan Duc Hung, there were still young people going out at night without helmets, running red lights... Senior Lieutenant Hung had to stop his car several times to remind them. There were young people who, when they saw the shadow of the mobile police, quickly took off their helmets hanging on their cars to put them on their heads. According to Hung, "It's not just a traffic violation, we also have to be more alert to detect risks to social order and safety."

Sure enough, as soon as Hung finished speaking, the soldiers of this group suddenly stopped. Before I could understand what was happening, I saw Hung jump out of his car and stop a motorbike with license plate 37B2 - 067xx carrying 3 young men, one of whom was not wearing a helmet. Upon checking, the working group discovered a folding knife under the trunk of the motorbike.

After analyzing the violation, the traffic police officers asked all three of them and their patrol team to bring their vehicles back to the headquarters at 43 Ho Tung Mau Street for resolution. After handing them over to the handling department at home, they quickly set off again. Just like that, when the crowd had thinned out, they still regularly patrolled each street and alley...

Always on "battle" position

Therefore, in addition to responsibility, there is an invisible force that pulls us along with the desire to get to the place where the report is received as quickly as possible, to resolve it safely and effectively, to bring peace to the people.

The conversation between us and the team members was constantly interrupted by the ringing of the phone. “Hello, on Nguyen Van Cu street, due to a traffic accident, a subject called a group of friends to cause trouble, causing chaos in the whole neighborhood” - a nearby resident announced.

After the information screening, the 113 Police force quickly set off and we quickly joined in. Upon arriving at the scene, the 113 soldiers did not hesitate, rushing to control the subject, while he struggled, cursed, and did not cooperate... After handing him over to the ward police, the 113 police soldiers returned to their unit.

Before they could even get comfortable, the soldiers on duty jumped up and rushed away when the switchboard continued to receive reports that on Hong Bang Street there was a conflict between two groups of young men; on Nguyen Sy Sach Street there was a drunk person causing public disorder...

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoai Nam - Deputy Captain of Team 113 said that due to the nature of their work, 113 Police officers must always maintain a 24/7 duty schedule. On average, every day, the 113 duty team receives and handles dozens of reports. From public disorder incidents to gang fights, even marital quarrels... The command center will evaluate whether the information is true or false, its nature and extent, to assign forces to the scene as quickly as possible.

In the story, they said that, in addition to taking advantage of using unregistered and uncontrolled SIM cards, many people have harassed the 113 Police force with mobile phones, sometimes up to hundreds of calls a day, making it difficult to grasp the situation.

Recently, there have been cases of intentional injury, public disorder and resistance to law enforcement officers that the units have received and handled. There are more subjects showing signs of being "high on drugs", infected with HIV or "acting" in groups, equipped with many types of "hot" weapons such as grenades, guns, knives... and showing to be very reckless and daring.

Therefore, the requirement is not only to quickly and completely resolve the case, arrest the subject and the evidence, but also to ensure absolute safety for the people and the working group. With the strategy of always implementing the 3 most motto: "fastest, strongest, most effective".

“Despite facing danger, the 113 Police force is always ready to go on duty, so most of us have no idea about celebrating Tet and reuniting with our families,” added Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoai Nam, Deputy Captain of Team 113.
