Female worker from Hai Duong to Nghe An made false medical declaration to avoid quarantine
(Baonghean.vn) - Although working in Cam Giang, Hai Duong, and returning home for Tet, the 23-year-old female worker declared that she had returned from Hung Yen to avoid home quarantine.
On the morning of February 20, Mr. Vu Ngoc Lam - Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Hop Commune (Quy Hop), said that this commune had just submitted a document to the District People's Committee requesting administrative sanctions against a citizen in the area for the act of"Intentionally declaring and providing false information about group A infectious diseases", according to Point b, Clause 3, Article 7 of Decree No. 117/2020/ND-CP dated September 28, 2020 of the Government.
According to Mr. Lam, on January 31, the 23-year-old girl, who was working as a worker in Cam Giang (Hai Duong province), returned to her hometown in Dong Can hamlet, Dong Hop commune, to celebrate Tet with her family. However, this girl later declared to the Commune Health Station that she was working in Hung Yen and returned to avoid implementing Covid-19 epidemic prevention measures. While at that time Hung Yen had not recorded any Covid-19 infections, the epidemic had spread widely in Hai Duong.

"At that time, if she had honestly declared that she had returned from Cam Giang, she would have had to quarantine at home. But because she declared that she had returned from Hung Yen, she was allowed to go out to celebrate Tet and meet many people," said Mr. Lam.
On February 18, Hai Duong Provincial Police sent a list of Quy Hop citizens who had just returned from this province. After checking and comparing, the authorities discovered that the female worker had made a false declaration, so they made a record to handle the matter.
In a report sent to the District People's Committee, the Chairman of the Dong Hop Commune People's Committee proposed a fine of 15 million VND. In addition, this girl was also tested and asked to self-isolate at home.
