Arrest of a subject buying and selling a large amount of drugs on the day of the 'God of Wealth'
(Baonghean.vn) - Bui Tien Van cleverly changed his vehicle and clothes to buy and sell a large quantity of drugs from the border area of Thanh Chuong district (Nghe An) but was caught with 2 kg of crystal meth, 2 kg of ketamine, and 2 heroin cakes.
At 8:10 p.m. on February 21, at the border area of Ngoc Lam commune, Thanh Chuong district (Nghe An), the functional forces coordinated to successfully break up a case of illegal drug trafficking from Laos to Vinh city, catching Bui Tien Van (born in 1983), residing in My Son commune, Do Luong district, red-handed for the act ofdrug trafficking.

Previously, through reconnaissance work, the Drug Crime Investigation Team, Vinh City Police, obtained a lot of information about Bui Tien Van, who had been illegally buying and selling drugs from Laos to Nghe An since mid-2020. Bui Tien Van led a drug crime ring that chose Nghe An as a transit area to bring drugs to southern provinces and cities for consumption.
Under the direction of the industry leaders, Vinh City Police determined to build a case, fight, and plan to capture Bui Tien Van in a detailed and thorough manner; mobilizing 100% of officers and soldiers of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team to participate.
On February 21, after receiving information that Bui Tien Van went from his house in Do Luong district to Thanh Chuong district to buy drugs, detectives quickly set up an ambush to monitor him.

Initially, the subject used a car, then changed clothes, and used a motorbike to go to the border commune of Ngoc Lam to buy drugs from a Laotian subject. The transaction took place in the forest, bordering Laos. When the subject Bui Tien Van had obtained the drugs, he was driving a Sirius motorbike, license plate 37D1-73175 from Ngoc Lam commune to the center of Thanh Chuong district for a few dozen kilometers when he was raided and arrested by the authorities. The subject did not have time to resist, at the scene the authorities seized 2 kg of crystal meth, 2 kg of ketamine, and 2 heroin cakes.
At the investigation agency, Bui Tien Van admitted to his crime. He bought the drugs from Laos, then brought them home to hide, and then transported them to southern provinces and cities for consumption.
Bui Tien Van is a drug addict and has two previous convictions for theft.
