It is not easy to meet Ms. Trinh these days. She not only directs professional work but also supports her colleagues in collecting fees.Covid-19 testvolunteering at the one-stop department, while participating in union activities to celebrate February 27, her phone rang continuously. Occasionally, while chatting, she had to stop to handle work. Although she was busy, her face was always smiling, her small figure always walked briskly, full of energy. That small figure was always active in every job, always proactive in helping people without ever complaining about difficulties or being afraid of hardship.
Recalling the first days of accompanying her colleagues to fight the epidemic, Ms. Trinh confided: “Although not directly involved in the process of collecting samples and testing for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the remaining members of the center were all aware and proactively supported each other. Like everyone else, I could not be indifferent to the seriousness and urgency of the epidemic, and the hardships and worries of my colleagues. That is also the reason why I and a few others volunteered to take on the task of bringing specimens to Hanoi when the center did not have a Covid-19 screening machine.” Receiving the task, her transport team assigned each other, one person per day, to collect samples, put them in a specialized box, and then bring them to Hanoi at night.

After the reception room was "transformed" into a dining room, Ms. Trinh did not hesitate to work with the kitchen team to work early and return late, "keeping the fire" so that this makeshift dining room always had nutritious meals ready, ensuring health and food hygiene and safety for the doctors and nurses. Due to work requirements, the number of meals per meal as well as the meal time of the on-duty crew was not fixed. She had to coordinate so that the food was always enough, always hot and fresh. In addition to daily meals, the bowls of porridge that Ms. Trinh took care of at night really warmed the hearts of the "white-blouse soldiers" during long, stressful nights on duty.

During the period of social distancing, when the staff went to collect samples for testing at quarantine areas in the area from day to day, without stopping for people or eating places, Ms. Trinh proposed calling on union members to support dry food, bread, fresh milk, drinking water... for everyone. For her, only when meals are of guaranteed quality can the staff, medical staff, and doctors be able to complete their tasks.

Witnessing Ms. Trinh working in the Labo testing water - food - air environment, we can see her "not afraid of difficulties, not afraid of hardships". Her job of testing air, water and food quality has to come into contact with many toxic chemicals with unpleasant odors such as ammonia, ether, acids, organic solvents; has to perform many complicated and cumbersome testing steps, requiring carefulness and precision...
But when talking about her work, she humbly said: “Our work is nothing compared to the work of the doctors and nurses on the front lines fighting the epidemic. I just hope the epidemic will pass quickly so that everyone will have less trouble.”
