"Hot" drug trafficking situation

Verification showed that this motorbike belonged to Ms. Ho Thi Huong (born in 1968), residing in Hamlet 7, Thuong Son Commune (Do Luong). Currently, Ky Son District Police are continuing to expand the investigation and arrest the subject.

Notably, the amount of drugs smuggled into the area has not shown any signs of decreasing, many new types of drugs have appeared, especially synthetic drugs and crystal meth. The methods and tricks of the subjects are increasingly sophisticated, dangerous, and reckless, causing many difficulties in the work of controlling, arresting and preventing. Therefore, the police force and other forces have to face many difficulties and dangers in the fight against this crime.
In 2020, Ky Son District Police successfully established and solved 20 major cases, arrested and handled 159 cases, 192 subjects; of which, prosecuted and investigated 150 cases with 175 defendants; eliminated 4 drug trafficking lines from Laos to Ky Son to other localities for consumption; 7 locations, 17 retail points. Seized more than 27 heroin cakes, 124,980 synthetic drug pills, 42 kg of crystal meth, 8 kg of ketamine, 7 homemade guns, 1 grenade, 2 detonators, 46 bullets and many other exhibits.
