Thereby, contributing to building the image of modern Vietnamese women who are both competent and capable of shouldering national and family affairs; at the same time contributing to enhancing the position and role of female union members in all areas of work, society and family.

MANY INNOVATIONS IN THE EMULATION MOVEMENT

emulation movement“Good at public affairs, good at housework” launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 1989 has created a solid spiritual foundation for women, helping them to fully develop their strengths. In all fields, many female employees have promoted their sense of responsibility, dedication to work, proactiveness, creativity to complete assigned tasks well. Through the movement, women are nurtured, trained and matured in many aspects. The position of women is increasingly affirmed. The quality of life of women is improved and obviously women are no longer just the weaker sex, but they are truly half of the world, respected by everyone.

The movement "Good at public work, good at housework" associated with the movement "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families" has always been promoted by Nghe An Trade Union at all levels, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere among individuals in agencies and units, contributing to building a team of female employees with professional quality, expertise, and a sense of responsibility in work.

In particular, during the implementation of the movement, many units have innovated and specified the standard contents to suit the characteristics of the industry and locality.Education Industry Unionbuilding the emulation movement "Two Good", the movement "Every teacher is an example of self-study and creativity"; or the Health Sector Trade Union implementing the emulation movement of 12 medical ethics according to the standard "Doctors are like kind mothers"; in other fields, there is an emulation movement to carry out the campaign to build "Loyal, creative, dedicated, exemplary" cadres and civil servants among female employees, the movement to promote initiatives and technical improvements among female workers in companies and enterprises...

In the field of state management, they have strived to improve themselves, constantly studying to improve their qualifications in all aspects, always devoted to overcoming difficulties, closely following the grassroots, reducing cumbersome procedures, creating favorable conditions to help people resolve their work in a timely manner.

In social work, Party and union work, the women always demonstrate strong political will, improve working capacity and professional skills, propaganda methods, and mobilize union members and employees to implement the Party's innovation policies and guidelines.

Aware of their role and position, they are always proactive in learning, improving their qualifications, quality and work efficiency, implementing administrative reforms, applying information technology; building agencies and units that meet cultural standards; building a strong Party, government and organizations. Thereby, there have been thousands of projects, products, tasks and innovative topics in administrative reform, management and operation; practical scientific initiatives and solutions... benefiting the State with billions of dong.

A typical example is Ms. Luu Thi Thu Hien - Deputy General Director of TH Milk Joint Stock Company, who is the "leader" in activities for female workers, always fighting to ensure the rights of female workers, accompanying for gender equality, creating development opportunities for female workers. She has proposed a number of contents that are beneficial tofemale workerssuch as a milk storage room for female workers with children under 24 months old, reproductive health check-ups for female workers at an average of 150,000-200,000 VND/person/time/year; proposing a reward system for technical innovation initiatives and creative initiatives of female workers, arranging female workers with qualifications and skills to manage departments and farm leaders; training and fostering soft skills for female workers...

Or like Ms. Phan Thi Kim Hoa - Head of Women's Union, Head of Technical Department of Nghe An Plant Seed Center, always upholds the sense of responsibility in all areas of work, puts the interests of the collective above personal interests; has the spirit of learning, gathering the strength of the staff and union members in the unit. In particular, Ms. Hoa has 4 initiatives recognized at the provincial level.

STRENGTHENING PROPAGANDA WORK

Not only being active and talented in their professional work, female employees also affirm the important role of women in building a prosperous, equal, progressive and happy family. They have deeply understood the point of view: Family is the cell of society, good family makes good society. Therefore, despite being busy with professional work, women still spend time taking care of and nurturing their family. Women are the center of solidarity among family members, the first teachers of children, and have the first credit in taking care of and educating their children to adulthood.

Regardless of the field or position, when they return to their families, they are busy with their daily lives, fulfilling their duties as Vietnamese women, being exemplary citizens in their place of residence, maintaining close solidarity and a spirit of mutual love. At the same time, they are the core force in the movement to buildcultural family, village, cultural block.

The movement “Good at public affairs, good at home affairs” has set out the criteria of a standard, exemplary model for every woman in today’s society to take as a goal to strive for and perfect herself. Although “good” and “capable” will certainly be different levels for each person, “good” and “capable” are often not enough to create happiness. “Good” and “capable” are only the contribution. Women today really need to enjoy material and spiritual benefits properly, need to be cared for by others, need to have time for themselves, to preserve their health, beauty and youth.

There have been opinions that the movement of "Good at public work, good at housework" of female workers is no longer suitable with the current view of gender equality, it has unintentionally placed heavy responsibilities on women's shoulders both in the family and in society. That concept is only one-sided, because along with the affirmation of women's position in society, family always has the most important meaning for them. In Eastern countries, family has a particularly important position and women are the ones who build the home.

Nowadays, due to conditions, women are more conscious of striving to be equal to men, many women are successful in society and thanks to that prestige, mothers and wives have done better in their duties in the family. With the attention of the Party, the State and society, the majority of Vietnamese families are developing sustainably, the number of cultural families is increasing, the quality of life in each family is also increasing.

Faced with the new requirements of the period of accelerating industrialization, modernization of the country and international integration, in order for the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" among female workers to become more and more effective, trade unions at all levels have determined that it is necessary to promote and diversify forms and measures of propaganda; focus on building and promptly honoring and praising female creative talents, collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in emulation movements and campaigns to create a widespread effect.

In the emulation movement "Good at public work - Good at housework" in the period of 2010-2020, hundreds of female employees were awarded Certificates of Merit at all levels; 135 collectives and 1,281 individuals were commended and rewarded by the district and industry trade unions; 55 individuals were honored at the provincial level.
