Nghe An spends more than 56.4 billion VND to prevent encroachment on traffic safety corridors.

In the 4 years from 2017 to present, Nghe An Department of Transport has organized over 160 legal education and dissemination campaigns for 21 districts, cities and towns with about 300 participants each.

The Provincial Police and the Police of districts, cities and towns have organized more than 2,000 public meetings, mobilized more than 800 mobile propaganda vehicles; at the same time, directed the propaganda force to integrate into the implementation of the tasks of enforcement, clearance of encroachment, and prevention of re-encroachment of traffic safety corridors (HTS).

Coordinated with press agencies in the province to develop and broadcast 204 reports, more than 300 news and propaganda articles on the situation and results of the work of clearing traffic safety corridors in the area.

In addition, every year before the clearance campaign, localities used mobile information vehicles, grassroots loudspeakers, and neighborhood meetings along residential areas on both sides of the roads; organized commitment signings with agencies, organizations, and individuals. At the same time, propaganda work was maintained and carried out regularly, in conjunction with clearance and enforcement activities of functional forces.

Through propaganda work, many organizations and individuals have been mobilized to voluntarily dismantle constructions and architectural objects that violate traffic safety regulations. Localities in Vinh city; Cua Lo town, Thai Hoa town; and districts: Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Tuong Duong, Tan Ky, Quy Hop have effectively implemented the work of mobilizing voluntary demolition (over 70% of violations).

Up to now, all localities have piloted routes following the model "Green - Clean - Beautiful", registering routes according to the self-management model, the model road section creates a change in urban civilization through residential areas. However, the maintenance and repair of routes registered as models in the management areas of districts, cities and towns have not received due attention. Many localities are attaching maintenance and repair work to new construction investment projects, and have not been able to replicate the model in the area.

In 4 years, the provincial budget to support departments, branches, units and localities in clearing violations and preventing re-encroachment of traffic safety is more than 56.4 billion VND.

As of December 25, 2020, functional forces under the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns have recorded 12,876 cases of violations, imposed fines and collected more than VND 8.8 billion to the State budget.
