Upon discovering a warehouse containing counterfeit Hermès goods in Vu Ban, market management authorities had to mobilize 10 trucks, each with a capacity of 3.5 tons, to transport the infringing merchandise.

Authorities in Nam Dinh province announced the seizure of 20,000-30,000 counterfeit products, mostly bearing the Hermes, LV, and Chanel trademarks, in Dai Lai village, Vinh Hao commune, Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province. During the inspection, the warehouse owner was unable to produce documents proving the legal origin of the goods.infringing goodsThis property, estimated to be worth 6 billion VND, was found at this address.

Mr. Nguyen Ky Minh, Deputy Chief of the Office of the General Department of Market Management, said that the violators mainly used social media to advertise and sell goods and used express delivery services to transport them. This person opened dozens of accounts with names such as The Queen Shop; Trang Anna (The Queen); Dung Vu (Boss The Queen); The Queen - VIP Bag Specialist; Duong Vu Xuan; The Queen - Dai Duong - Wholesale and Retail Handbags; Handbag Warehouse - Guangzhou Goods... and used them interchangeably to evade inspection by authorities.

Furthermore, the suspect employed a sophisticated tactic by using a liaison store in Hanoi, located on Ho Tung Mau Street, Phu Dien Ward, Bac Tu Liem District, as a product showroom. In reality, this store did not contain any products; all the goods were stored in a warehouse in Vu Ban, Nam Dinh. This significantly hampered the investigation.

According to market regulators, this iscounterfeit goods warehouseIt was the largest warehouse in the North, and they had to mobilize 10 3.5-ton trucks to move the confiscated goods inside.

A representative from Hermes stated that Tam Son International Co., Ltd. is the official importer and distributor of the brand in Vietnam. Currently, only two stores – one at the Sofitel Metropole Hotel, 15 Ngo Quyen Street, Hanoi, and the other at the LPH store on the first floor of Vincom Eden A, 171 Dong Khoi Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City – are authorized to use the Hermes brand for selling handbags manufactured by Hermes International. Additionally, Hermès perfumes and watches are available at Lotte Center in Hanoi and Da Nang, and at several duty-free shops.

In Vietnam, Hermes does not sell its products on e-commerce websites, social media, or any other physical stores.

An authentic Hermes bag can cost from $5,400 (approximately 123 million VND) to $35,650 (approximately over 800 million VND) depending on the style, size, color, and leather material. For example, the cheapest Birkin bag costs $7,600, while limited edition bags can cost billions of VND.
