On the morning of March 19, the Standing Office of the National Steering Committee 389 held a conference on the results of the peak period of fighting against crime; smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in border areas and coastal areas before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2021.

From the beginning of 2020 to now (March 12, 2021),provincial border forceNghe An has presided over and coordinated the detection, arrest, and handling of 888 cases/1124 subjects/411 vehicles (including 15 special projects). Seized evidence includes 148 cakes + 13.4 kg of heroin, 340 kg of crystal meth; 9 kg of Ketamine, 128,914 synthetic drug pills... The unit has presided over the arrest and prosecution of 66 cases/73 subjects (including 9 special projects); detected and handled 595 cases/764 subjects, administratively fined over 2 billion VND, and warned 3 cases/10 subjects.

The forces have proactively coordinated with local authorities at all levels to propagate and mobilize the masses to strictly comply with the provisions of the law on crime prevention, smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods on the two borders of the province.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh and Standing Chief of Office Dam Thanh The highly appreciated the active and drastic direction of the Standing Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command during the peak period of fighting smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods during the Lunar New Year 2021. In particular, the coordination with forces to fight against crime has achieved many results, as well as the spirit of fighting against crime associated with the dual task of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic, at the frontline of the province's border.

In order to promptly prevent and effectively combat all types of crimes, smuggling and trade fraud, in the coming time, the Provincial Border Guard Command as well as the functional forces are members of theProvincial Steering Committee 389continue to carry out a number of key tasks, including strengthening the work of grasping the situation, promptly exchanging information, investigating and verifying the activities of various types of subjects. Establishing a special project to combat and destroy drug crime organizations and lines, smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.

In addition, it is necessary to do a good job of propaganda and mobilization of the masses, as well as regularly provide political and ideological education to cadres, soldiers and employees to raise their spirit and responsibility in the work of preventing drugs, smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.
