Nghe An Power Company: Many activities in response to Earth Hour 2021
(Baonghean.vn) - In response to the Earth Hour 2021 campaign, Nghe An Power Company calls on organizations, agencies, and customers to turn off lights and unnecessary equipment during the event from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Saturday, March 27, 2021.
The Earth Hour 2021 campaign will be implemented simultaneously on a global scale with the theme "Speak up for Nature". The message of the Earth Hour 2021 campaign aims to raise public awareness, highlight the connection between humans and nature, and the symbiotic relationship between species.

The "Earth Hour 2021" event in Vietnam will take place from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Saturday, March 27, 2021.
To contribute to the overall success of the campaign and raise awareness of community responsibility among organizations and individuals regarding the efficient and effective use of energy,Nghe An Power CompanyTasks have been assigned to departments, units, and affiliated power companies to implement activities such as: Hanging banners in support of the Earth Hour 2021 campaign at designated locations; developing and implementing communication plans, coordinating with local people's authorities and mass organizations, media partners, and carrying out various innovative and effective forms of communication that impact many customer groups in transforming awareness into action on using electricity economically and efficiently.

In coordination with Nghe An Newspaper, Nghe An Radio and Television Station, and other local news agencies and information systems, we will promote and publicize the 2021 Earth Hour campaign and electricity saving activities in Nghe An province. We will publish promotional content about electricity saving and participation in the 2021 Earth Hour campaign through images, video clips, and scrolling text on information screens at the company headquarters, website, fanpage, and social media platforms such as Facebook and Zalo. We will also disseminate information about electricity saving and environmental protection at customer service points and the headquarters of our affiliated units.
We urge all organizations (agencies, units, supermarkets, shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, parks, cultural centers, etc.) and households in the area to simultaneously switch off unnecessary lighting, electrical equipment, advertising signs, and decorative lights from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on March 27, 2021.
Nghe An Power Company also requested all employees to set a good example at home and encourage households in their living areas to switch off unnecessary lighting and other electrical equipment during the event.

The Earth Hour campaign was first held in Sydney, Australia in 2007. This event has become one of the world's largest environmental campaigns, supported in over 180 countries and territories, including Vietnam. The main activity is to switch off lights and unnecessary appliances to show support for the planet and demonstrate individual responsibility in protecting the environment, biodiversity, and adapting to climate change.
