(Baonghean.vn) - So far, Vinh City Police have arrested 14 people related to the video of a young man being beaten and threatened to be buried alive.
Speaking to Nghe An Newspaper reporters on the morning of March 30, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thanh Long - Deputy Chief of Vinh City Police said that the unit had just arrested Nguyen Trong Duong - the ringleader in the case of a young man being buried alive. Duong was arrested on the evening of March 29, while hiding in Hanoi.
According to the police, Duong (also known as "Handsome Duong"), the leader of a gang of about 50 young men, has caused trouble in Vinh City and surrounding areas. Duong works as a pawnbroker in Vinh City.

While the police were verifying the clip of burying the young man alive, Duong also posted on Facebook that this was just a joke the victim's family made to get likes and that he himself was not involved in the incident.

Immediately after being posted, this video received a lot of attention from the online community. In the video, a young man was stripped and assaulted by a group of other young men. The victim was also forced to kneel on an empty lot by the river while the group filmed the clip of humiliation. At the same time, the group also called a person believed to be the victim's relative to humiliate him. After about 3 hours of investigation, Vinh City Police arrested 13 people involved. The victim in the case was NQV (17 years old, residing in Block 5, Xuan An Town, Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh). According to initial statements, V. was a local delinquent youth. V. had rented a motorbike from one of the youths and then pawned it to get money for personal use. In addition, V.'s parents were also helpless, so they asked one of the group to warn V.
