Nghe An trains in professional work on elections of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels

On the morning of April 2, the Provincial Election Committee held an online conference with urban districts to train on professional work in the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee Nguyen Xuan Son emphasized: The election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term is a political event of great significance for the whole country and each locality; identified by the Party and State as a key task in 2021.

This is a widespread democratic movement and activity among all classes of people to select and elect worthy representatives to represent the will and aspirations of the people.

In order for the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels in Nghe An province to take place democratically, fairly, legally, and truly be a successful festival for the people, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son requested that the reporters provide full guidance on issues related to expertise, profession and skills in carrying out election work in localities, especially for members of election committees and teams; and meticulously and clearly answer questions, difficulties and problems arising in practice at the grassroots level.

Conference delegates should uphold their sense of responsibility, concentrate on listening and fully absorb the contents reported at the conference. Any unclear or incomprehensible issues or difficulties and problems arising in practice at the grassroots level should be reported to the organizing committee for resolution.

Especially for the leaders of the CommitteeelectorAt the district level, the heads and deputy heads of the Department of Internal Affairs of districts, cities and towns after this conference are responsible for directing, advising on the implementation and organization of local election work;

At the same time, pay attention to, guide, and continue to provide professional training to members of the election team with the motto of "hand-holding and guiding" in a specific, thorough, and thoughtful manner, knowing how to coordinate and carry out tasks smoothly and promptly to ensure progress and properly handle issues arising in the practice of local election work.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son noted that there is not much time to prepare for the election, and the task is extremely heavy and takes place in the context of a complicated epidemic. In order for the election to achieve good results, to truly be a festival for all people, it is necessary to prepare the necessary conditions to successfully organize the election to ensure democracy, equality, legality, safety and economy.

Chairman of Provincial People's Council, The Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee requested that delegates, with a spirit of frankness and high responsibility, closely follow the Party's leadership and direction documents, legal regulations, implementation plans, and instructions on election work to focus on research, actively participate in discussions and make recommendations, especially on difficulties and problems in the election preparation process to be resolved.

During the training, delegates were instructed on election procedures, application software to synthesize election results and election situations. The leaders of the Department of Home Affairs also answered suggestions from urban districts on election procedures.

Through the training conference, delegates clearly understood the functions, tasks and powers of the organizations in charge of elections; mastered the expertise, professionalism and skills to carry out the work steps before, during and after election day.

At the same time, enhance the sense of responsibility of members of election organizations, in order to properly perform their duties and tasks in the process of carrying out assigned tasks.
