Northern Power Corporation donated 50 white bauhinia trees to Truong Bon National Historical Site

Speaking at the program, comrade Le Van Trang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy General Director of the Northern Power Corporation said that in recent times, in addition to the task of ensuring a continuous and safe supply of electricity to serve socio-economic development in 27 northern provinces/cities, the Corporation has always paid attention to environmental protection.

The unit actively plants trees, beautifies the landscape, builds a 5S working environment at the headquarters and outside the power grid... This is also the responsibility of the Corporation in general, and each officer, employee, and worker in the entire Corporation in particular, to preserve and protect the environment.

Responding to the Prime Minister's call to plant 1 billion trees, at Truong Bon National Historical Site, the Northern Power Corporation and Nghe An Power Company planted 50 white bauhinia trees with the noble meaning of expressing gratitude to the martyrs who sacrificed for the nation's longevity, inscribing the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source".

It is expected that by the end of 2021, Nghe An Electricity Company will complete the plan to plant 200 trees. At the same time, it will contribute to creating ecological landscape beauty, protecting the environment, and preserving nature at Truong Bon National Historical Site.

With the effort for a green Vietnam, Vietnam Electricity Group strives to plant and take care of 100,000 new trees in 2021; 1 million trees in the period 2021-2025.

In particular, the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) aims to plant 10,000 trees in 2021. Each officer and employee of the Corporation in 27 northern provinces and cities will plant and care for 5 trees. Thus, in the next 5 years, EVNNPC will launch a campaign to plant more than 100,000 trees.
