Today, the National Assembly approved the appointment of 14 Government members and closed the session.

On April 8, the 14th National Assembly entered the last working day of the 11th Session, which is also the last session of the term.

At the beginning of the working session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will report the results of the delegation's discussion on the proposal to approve the appointment of a number of Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and other members of the Government. After that, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will report to the National Assembly on the explanation and acceptance of the opinions of National Assembly deputies.

The nominees for the two Deputy Prime Minister positions are Mr. Le Minh Khai and Mr. Le Van Thanh. In addition, 12 other people were also nominated to hold the positions of Minister and Head of a ministerial-level agency.

The National Assembly will vote by secret ballot to approve the appointment and vote to pass a Resolution recording the results of the appointment approval.

Also in today's session, the Chairman of the National Election Council will present to the National Assembly for approval a list of Vice Chairmen and members of the National Election Council. The President will also present to the National Assembly a list of Vice Chairmen and members of the National Defense and Security Council. After discussion, the National Assembly will vote by secret ballot to approve the appointments to the above positions in the afternoon of the same day.

In the afternoon, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution on piloting the arrangement of full-time positions of the Hanoi People's Council before the closing session and voted to pass the Resolution on the work of the 2016-2021 term of the National Assembly, President, Government, National Assembly agencies, Supreme People's Court, Supreme People's Procuracy, and State Audit./.
