Following their 0-1 defeat in Round 4 of the National First Division, Quang Nam FC officially parted ways with coach Nguyen Thanh Cong. The club's leadership quickly found a replacement for the strategist.
According to our sources, the person who will take over as head coach of the Quang Nam team is former goalkeeper Duong Hong Son. The former national team goalkeeper has experience in coaching, having previously led Phu Tho and helped them gain promotion to the First Division. At the beginning of the 2021 season, Duong Hong Son parted ways with the club and returned to work as an assistant coach at Hanoi FC.

After receiving the invitation, the former SLNA goalkeeper decided to take over the position recently vacated by coach Nguyen Thanh Cong. According to plan, Duong Hong Son will fly to Quang Nam today (April 10th), ready to begin his new job.
