Garry Tabakh, former NATO permanent representative to Russia, has raised the date when Ukraine could take back Crimea.
According to him, to do this we need to wait until Russia itself "collapses".
"Crimea can either become an independent state, friendly in relations with Ukraine, or return to Ukraine," the Russian Observer newspaper quoted Mr. Garry Tabakh.
The former NATO permanent representative to Russia is confident that it will not be difficult for the Ukrainian armed forces to occupy Donbass by military means. In this regard, he advised that Russia holds a "not simple" position. According to him, the situation in eastern Ukraine is "complicated and dangerous".
Earlier, answering a question about some people expecting Russia's collapse or demise, President Vladimir Putin emphasized that Russia is strengthening its forces and will cope with all difficulties, as well as sanctions.
At the same time, as experts point out, Ukraine itself has problems that put it on the brink of collapse.
