(Baonghean.vn) - According to the first phase of Covid-19 vaccination plan, tomorrow (April 20), Nghe An will officially vaccinate medical staff against Covid-19.

Specifically, doctors and nurses at Nghe An General Friendship Hospital, Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital and Vinh City General Hospital were the first to be vaccinated in the province.

The Covid-19 vaccination for doctors and nurses at the Southwest Regional General Hospital (where 2 Covid-19 patients are being treated) and the epidemic prevention and control force in Con Cuong district (which is quarantining 283 citizens returning from Japan and South Korea) is currently taking place slowly compared to the requirements of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province.

The reason is due to the confusion of the local medical staff. It is expected that doctors, nurses and anti-epidemic forces here will be vaccinated tomorrow (April 20) at the earliest.

As reported by Nghe An Newspaper: On April 9, the Ministry of Health provided Nghe An province with 18,500 doses of AstraZeneca Group's Covid-19 vaccine to vaccinate frontline forces in epidemic prevention and control, specifically: People working in medical facilities and people participating in epidemic prevention and control.

On April 15-16, Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control organized training on Covid-19 vaccination for public and non-public hospitals; district/city/town medical centers in the province, and medical units in the province.

The Covid-19 vaccination plan of Nghe An Department of Health clearly states: In this first phase, Nghe An will only organize vaccinations at vaccination points attached to hospitals or medical centers or other vaccination facilities from the district level and above, ensuring convenience and quick response to emergency care for post-vaccination reactions.

This vaccination campaign must be completed by May 5, 2021.
