(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 22nd, in Vinh City, the Nghe An Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Minister of Public Security regarding personnel matters.

Attending the ceremony were Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong - Deputy Secretary of the Central Party Committee of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and the delegation from the Ministry; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province; and leaders of the Public Security Departments of Ha Tinh and Hung Yen provinces.

At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong - Deputy Secretary of the Central Party Committee of Public Security, Deputy Minister of Public Security - presented Decision No. 2583/QD-BCA, dated April 16, 2021, of the Minister of Public Security, transferring Major General Vo Trong Hai - Director of the Nghe An Provincial Police - to work at the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee.

Next, Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quy Vuong presented Decision No. 2668/QD-BCA dated April 19, 2021, of the Minister of Public Security, transferring Colonel Pham The Tung, Director of Bac Ninh Provincial Police, to take up the position of Director of Nghe An Provincial Police.

Speaking at the ceremony to present the decisions, Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong congratulated Comrade Vo Trong Hai and Colonel Pham The Tung.

Emphasizing that his appointment as Director of the Nghe An Provincial Police Department reflects the trust of leaders at all levels, the Deputy Minister of Public Security requested Colonel Pham The Tung to promptly take over the work, together with the Party Committee and leadership of the Nghe An Provincial Police Department, to leverage the leadership and guidance of the local Party committee and government, coordinate with other sectors; uphold the Party's leadership principles; be truly exemplary, promote democracy, internal unity, and leverage collective intelligence to provide sound advice to the local Party committee and government on ensuring security and order, Party building, and building the People's Police force; strive to excellently fulfill the political tasks assigned by the Party, sectors, Party committees, and local governments; and contribute to creating a stable environment for the socio-economic development of the locality.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quy Vuong urged the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Public Security Department, especially the members of the Party Committee and key officials of the Nghe An Provincial Public Security Department, to unite, cooperate, and act with responsibility alongside Comrade Pham The Tung to successfully complete all assigned tasks.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee, the Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Thai Thanh Quy, acknowledged, highly appreciated, and thanked Major General Vo Trong Hai for his contributions to the economic and social development of Nghe An province in the past, especially in the field of ensuring security and order. He also respectfully congratulated him on his new and higher level of maturity, assuming the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province; and expressed his hope that in his new position, he would continue to share and contribute to the development of Nghe An and Ha Tinh.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy warmly congratulated Colonel Pham The Tung on his appointment to work in Nghe An province, the homeland of our beloved President Ho Chi Minh!

Regarding his new assignment in the locality, the new Director of the Nghe An Provincial Police Department has many advantages but also many challenges ahead. The head of the Provincial Party Committee requested that he quickly stabilize his position and immediately begin his work, upholding a high sense of responsibility, being pioneering, thorough, exemplary, and promoting the strength of unity and cooperation within the Board of Directors, officers, and soldiers of the entire force to effectively carry out his duties.

Furthermore, we will continue to implement preventive measures and solutions to combat, deter, and decisively suppress all types of crime; strive to contain and reduce crime and social evils; and gradually build a society that is orderly, disciplined, safe, and healthy.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested the new Director of the Provincial Police to pay attention to encouraging and focusing on training and developing officers and soldiers to be proficient and capable in their professional skills; to have exemplary ethics, lifestyle, conduct, and attitude, serving the people so that they always live up to the image of a People's Police officer in the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh: "more professional, more dedicated, more polite, more decisive, and more reputable."

Continue to build and maintain close cooperation and solidarity with provincial departments, agencies, and organizations, as well as local authorities and units within the province, to address issues, especially to effectively prevent, combat, and handle crime.

In his acceptance speech, Colonel Pham The Tung deeply understood that this was both a great honor and a source of pride, but also an immense responsibility. He seriously accepted and implemented the directives from the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Party Secretary. He pledged to uphold a high sense of responsibility, dedicating his heart, mind, and all his efforts to working with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the leadership of the Provincial Police, and the entire Nghe An Police force to further enhance the glorious historical traditions of the Nghe An Police, for the peaceful and happy lives of the people, and to contribute effectively to the socio-economic development of the locality.

"I expect, trust, and always hope that the Party Committee, leadership, commanders, and all officers and soldiers of the Nghe An Provincial Police will unite in will and action, and work together wholeheartedly to continue building a stronger Nghe An Provincial Police," the new Director of the Nghe An Provincial Police expressed.

Colonel Pham The Tung expressed his hope that the Party Committee of the Central Public Security Ministry, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee of Nghe An province, the professional departments of the Ministry of Public Security, the provincial departments and agencies, and the Party committees and authorities of localities, along with all sectors of the people, would continue to pay attention to, lead, direct, accompany, support, and assist more so that the Nghe An Provincial Police in general and he personally in particular can successfully complete all tasks.

- Born in 1972, from Tien Lu, Hung Yen province.

- Joined the People's Police in September 1990.

- Joined the Party in January 1997

- Master of Laws, Police University

- Advanced Political Theory

- He held various positions at the Hung Yen Provincial Police Department before being appointed Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department. Since October 2019, he has been the Director of the Bac Ninh Provincial Police Department.
