According to the Vietnam Family Planning Association, on average each year there are nearly 300,000 abortions nationwide, mainly among 15-19 year olds, of which 60-70% are students.
Therefore, propaganda, education, raising awareness, perception and responsibility of young people about reproductive health and HIV/AIDS prevention need to have a specific action plan to increase awareness about safe sex and proper contraception, avoiding unwanted pregnancies.
