Nghe An: Highlights on April 24

*SOn the morning of April 24, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, along with delegates from the Central Committee and Nghe An province, came to offer flowers and incense.Memorial of President Ho Chi Minhat Kim Lien Special National Monument (Nam Dan).

*SApril 24, in Cua Lo town (Nghe An),The Party Committee of Central Agencies held a ConferenceFourth Executive Committee (expanded).

The conference heard 12 comments from the delegates. In his concluding remarks, comrade Huynh Tan Viet - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc highly appreciated the democratic, frank and responsible comments of the delegates. The Party Executive Committee of the Bloc unanimously authorized the Standing Committee to direct the Organizing Committee and the Editorial Team to absorb the comments at the conference in order to complete the document to send to the Central Party Office to seek comments from the Central Agencies and then report to the Politburo.

The Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies also unanimously approved the contents of the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, as a premise for implementing the political tasks of the Party Committee of the Bloc for the 2020-2025 term and unanimously assigned the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the Bloc to receive opinions, complete and submit to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Bloc for signing and promulgation.

*NOn April 20, 2021, the National Election Council responded in writing and agreed with the proposal of the Nghe An Provincial Election Committee to allow207 early voting precinctsbelongs to 4 mountainous districts: Ky Son, Con Cuong, Que Phong and Tuong Duong.

Specifically, Ky Son district has 156 early voting areas in 16 communes; Tuong Duong district has 30 early voting areas in 4 communes; Con Cuong district has 11 early voting areas in 4 communes; Que Phong district has 10 early voting areas in 5 communes.

*SOn April 24, at Vinh Medical University, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, the Nghe An Provincial Student Association Secretariat in coordination with DKT International in Vietnam and Thanh Nien Magazine organized"Student Journey - OK" program.

"SV-OK Journey" is a series of activities in many provinces and cities of Vietnam to promote knowledge about adolescent reproductive health among young people and students, and provide safe sex measures.

*SOn April 24, the Department of Education and Training held the closing ceremony andAward ceremony of the Math Club for Children CompetitionNghe An province in 2021.

This year's Math Club for Children competition had the participation of 270 primary and secondary school students from 46 teams, of which Vinh City, Thanh Chuong, Quynh Luu, Con Cuong each sent 4 teams to participate. The organizing committee awarded Gold prizes to 17 primary and secondary school students, Silver prizes to 34 contestants, Bronze prizes to 57 contestants and Encouragement prizes to 113 contestants. The contestant with the highest score was Tran Tien Dung - Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Primary School (Hung Nguyen) with a perfect score of 100 points.

*NThe weather is favorable today.melon season, good price.After only 2 months of planting and caring, people in Nghi Huong (Cua Lo) and Nghi Thach (Nghi Loc) earned 20 million VND/sao.

Specifically, harvested melons are purchased by traders at the field at a price of 12,000 VND/kg or 10,000 - 30,000 VND/fruit (depending on size). Compared to previous years, the average price of each fruit has increased by 3,000 - 5,000 VND/fruit. On average, each sao of melon yields an income of 18 - 20 million VND, after deducting expenses, the net profit is 10 million VND, 7 times higher than growing rice.

*SOn the morning of April 24, the Criminal Police Department (PC02, Nghe An Provincial Police), in coordination with the Blue Dragon Children's Organization and Ky Son District Police, handed over 3 pregnant women who crossed the border to China to sell their fetuses to their families.

All three pregnant women are of the Khmu ethnic group, including Ven Me Trang (33 years old), Lu Thi Nhung (18 years old), and Moong Thi Sen (26 years old), all residing in Ky Son district). Of the three pregnant women, Trang is 7 months pregnant, Sen is 9 months pregnant, and Nhung is 5 months pregnant.

The three pregnant women were taken away by three different buses in late March. On April 1, when all three met at a location in Guangxi Province (China), preparing to go deep inland to wait to give birth and then sell their children, they were discovered and arrested by local authorities.
