Phu Dien Market in Dien Thanh Commune is one of the largest markets in Dien Chau District. During long holidays, people come to the market more bustlingly than usual. In particular, the goodsseafoodis the most interested by customers. It is known that customers buy seafood partly to eat during the day, and many people also buy grilled mackerel and grilled squid to send to relatives in the cities.

Ms. Quynh, a seafood seller, said that grilled mackerel is sold in quantities almost twice as much during these holidays as usual. "On normal days, it's just the couple selling, but on this holiday, we have two more children helping grill and package the fish to meet the demand, because customers order in large quantities," Ms. Quynh shared.

In contrast to seafood, which is always crowded with customers, the beef and pork area only has occasional customers asking to buy. Ms. Nguyen Thi Luong, owner of a pork stall at Phu Dien market, said that although pork has been reduced in price to only 130,000 - 140,000 VND/kg, it is still difficult to sell. The reason is becauseAfrican swine feverand lumpy skin disease in cattle and buffaloes is still recurring in many places, causing people to worry.

"Normally, I sell 50 - 60 kg of meat each market day, but now I can only sell 25 - 30 kg of meat," said Ms. Luong.

Similarly, at Yen Thanh town market, during these holidays, many buyers and sellers are also attracted. Observations show that the seafood selling area is always bustling with customers. Many fresh and grilled seafood items are sold more than usual. Mr. Phan Trong Loi, the owner of a seafood stall, said that during these holidays, seafood items generally increase in price by 15-20% compared to normal days, but the amount sold is still very high.
