Heavy rain causes landslides on bridges and houses in Que Phong
(Baonghean.vn) - Heavy rain caused floodwaters to sweep away bridges, landslides and houses in Que Phong district on the night of May 3.
According to information from Quang Phong commune authorities, the rain and thunderstorms on the evening of May 3 caused heavy damage to this commune.
Mr. Vi Thai Diep - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee said: "Water from upstream of Ta stream has damaged many rice fields of the people. "The temporary bridge in Ta village located on Highway 48D was also severely damaged due to driftwood piled up on the bridge surface. Vehicles still cannot pass through here. Currently, the people and the government are focusing on overcoming the consequences" - Mr. Diep informed.
In Cam Muon commune, the local government also said that two houses were flooded and damaged. "The mud and soil seeped into the houses of people in Cam Pom village, damaging the furniture inside. Currently, the commune government is forming a team to verify the extent of damage to each household," said a representative of the commune government.
