However, on the evening of May 6, in Quynh Lap commune, Hoang Mai town (Nghe An), the first case of Covid-19 infection in the community was detected. In that context, Nghe An has temporarily suspended all meetings with voters to adjust Plan No. 61 on the number and method of organizing meetings with voters to campaign for elections in accordance with the actual situation and ensure compliance with the provisions of the law.

At the meeting of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An Province, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Election Committee (EC) proposed: Conferences to meet voters and campaign for elections will be adjusted to be organized online or in person. Depending on the areas with high risk, medium risk, low risk, there will be a specific plan according to the province's polling stations.

Based on the actual situation, reduce the number of voter contacts in the whole province, while increasing voter contacts online and through mass media.

For district and commune levels, the standing committee of the Fatherland Front at any level must agree with the Election Committee and consult the election steering committee of that level to decide on appropriate forms for its level.
