All F1s in a locked-down hospital in Nghe An tested negative for Covid-19

(Baonghean.vn) - In addition to the 5 F1s who have tested negative, medical staff are urgently taking samples to test the remaining people in the hospital to soon lift the blockade.

On the morning of May 8, the Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control continued to take samples for testing for all staff, employees, patients, and caregivers at Quynh Lap Central Dermatology and Leprosy Hospital.

Previously, immediately after discovering a community Covid-19 case in Hoang Mai town, the two hospitals in Quynh Thien ward were temporarily locked down. The reason is that this hospital has 5 employees who are F1 cases and nearly 100 F2 cases of patient 3098 in Hoang Mai town.

At the time of the lockdown, 57 patients were being treated here and 43 were being cared for by their families. The hospital immediately implemented a plan to "lock down" the treatment area. In addition to the doctors on duty, the hospital arranged additional doctors to treat the patients. The hospital also provided food, water and some necessities for hospital staff, patients and their families.

Quynh Lap Central Dermatology and Leprosy Hospital has issued a notice and temporarily suspended medical examination and treatment activities to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic. Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control has taken samples of 5 F1 cases at the hospital, the first test results of 5 cases were all negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

In order to soon bring the Quynh Lap Central Dermatology and Leprosy Hospital back to operation to examine and treat people, on the morning of May 8, the Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control continued to collect samples for testing for all officials, civil servants, workers and employees of the hospital, as well as patients and their relatives, with about 500 samples.
