At that time, the former strategist from Ha Dong, Hanoi also said: "There is no match of Binh Duong that I do not watch on TV, the team is always in my heart, because thanks to Binh Duong, everyone knows about Le Thuy Hai".

Binh Duong is the club Mr. Hai has been with the most (five times), and the most successful with three V-League championships in 2007, 2008 and 2014, along with a runner-up finish in 2006, and the National Cup in 2008 and 2014.

He also led many other clubs such as Da Nang, Thanh Hoa, The Cong, Ninh Binh, Hai Phong... Mr. Hai's last job was Technical Director (actually Coach) at Thanh Hoa in the 2016 season.

During his playing days, Mr. Hai played as a midfielder for the Railway Club from 1965 to 1980 and also played for the Vietnam national team. He retired in 1980 but it was not until 1995 that he started his coaching career as an assistant at the Railway Club.

Besides his achievements, Coach Le Thuy Hai is also remembered as a person with personality, often making strong statements. This caused him to have conflicts with some colleagues and players. However, besides that, many people have affection for Mr. Hai.

Upon hearing the news of his former teacher's passing, former center back Vu Nhu Thanh shared onFacebook: "In my mind, dad is a tough man who lives a very 'real' life, is full of emotions, loves and teaches players in a very special way. Whether you love him or hate him, one thing is for sure, everyone always respects dad."
