Vinh City activates Covid-19 prevention and control system according to '4 on-site'

On the morning of May 12, Comrade Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee inspected the work of ensuring conditions for Covid-19 prevention and control according to 5 levels and the motto "4 on-site"; inspected the election preparation work in a number of communes and wards in the city.

Vinh Cityis the political and economic center of the province and is a traffic hub to provinces and cities across the country, with an airport, train station, bus station with a large traffic volume to the city.

Through review, the city currently has more than 1,100 foreigners and nearly 4,100 city citizens working abroad.

Therefore, this is an area identified as having a high risk of epidemics.Covid-19need to be strictly controlled to prevent and proactively take measures to fight the epidemic if it occurs.

In recent times, the city has proactively implemented many solutions to prevent and combat the Covid-19 epidemic, such as increasing the amount of propaganda time on the city's radio system and communes and wards and promoting the role of residential groups.

The city also proactively organized mandatory health declarations for people returning from other provinces during the April 30 and May 1 holidays; at the same time, issued many regulations such as mandatory wearing of masks when going out; temporarily suspending some non-essential businesses; prohibiting large gatherings in public places; organizing the signing of commitments with people and businesses to strictly comply with epidemic prevention and control measures.

Along with that is strengthening inspection and handling of violations. From April 29 to May 10, 2021, the city has fined 17 cases with a total amount of more than 46 million VND.

Of these, 15 cases were fined VND16.5 million for not wearing masks, and VND15 million for each business establishment that did not implement measures to limit crowds.

The city has also deployed 6 teams to inspect, remind, and correct loopholes in epidemic prevention and control work in wards and communes.

Accordingly, through inspections at the medical stations of wards and communes: Truong Thi, Le Mao, Dong Vinh, Nghi Kim, Nghi Duc and the centralized quarantine area at Nghe An Pedagogical College this morning, comradePhan Duc Dong- Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee requested localities to review facilities and equipment such as beds, bedding, electric fans, domestic water, televisions, and surveillance cameras to propose and recommend the city to supplement them promptly, ensuring quarantine work, each facility is capable of quarantining 20-30 F1 cases.

At the same time, strengthen propaganda and guidance for people to proactively declare their health status as well as monitor and detect cases from other areas who do not declare their health status.

Along with that is propaganda for people to proactively detect health signs to report to medical facilities for monitoring. Commune and ward health stations also closely monitor and proactively coordinate with the City Health Center and the City General Hospital to screen cases with signs of the disease.

The centralized quarantine site at Nghe An Pedagogical College, which is assigned to the Vinh City Military Command for management, needs to pay attention to general cleaning and at the same time advise the province to supplement the electricity system, domestic water and toilets, ensuring the best conditions for quarantined people.
