(Baonghean.vn) - There are cases of false declarations to avoid quarantine, and there are cases where people have been home for nearly a week, traveling to many places, before they are willing to make a medical declaration.

On the morning of May 20, the leader of Bao Thang commune (Ky Son district) said that the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of the commune had just issued a decision to fine Cut Van Mui (18 years old, residing in Cha Ca 2 village) 2 million VND for the act of "not properly implementing disease prevention and control measures" as prescribed in Point a, Clause 1, Article 12, Decree 117 of the Government on handling administrative violations in the health sector.
According to the report, Mui worked at a company in Hanoi, but could not remember his name or address. On May 18, the male worker took several buses to return to his hometown without making a health declaration.

After the discovery, the commune's Covid-19 Prevention Steering Committee asked Mui to come forward to declare and implement disease prevention and isolation measures. However, during the process of working, Mui did not declare honestly, but beat around the bush and denied. Initially, Mui insisted that she had just returned from Thanh Hoa. After being informed and explained, Mui admitted that she had returned from Hanoi but could not remember the specific address.

In Quy Hop district, authorities have also discovered many cases of false declarations, delays and non-cooperation in quarantine. One of them was just fined 10 million VND on May 19. Notably, these people all returned from Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces, where the epidemic situation is very dangerous.

Specifically, Truong Thi Thu Thao (24 years old, Chau Hong commune), works as a worker in Quang Chau commune, Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province. On May 7, she returned to her hometown in Chau Hong commune but it was not until May 13 that she went to the commune health station to declare and begin home quarantine.

Truong Van Dan (20 years old, Ha Son commune), went to the medical station to declare immediately after returning to his hometown from Lam Trai area, Van Duong ward, Bac Ninh city on the morning of May 7. However, instead of declaring that he returned from this address, Dan declared that he returned from another industrial park, to avoid home quarantine. Meanwhile, in Lam Trai area where Dan lives, a positive case due to community transmission was discovered the day before.

According to Quy Hop District Police, commune health officials asked Dan to monitor his health and self-isolate at home, but Dan later did not comply with home isolation and traveled to many places.

In addition, on this trip back to his hometown, Dan also brought his fiancee, Vi Thi Hang (20 years old, Chau Ly commune). After going to Ha Son commune health station with Dan to make a declaration, Hang was asked by medical staff to quarantine at Dan's house. However, after only a few days, Hang escaped to her parents' house in Chau Ly commune.
