Prosecution of case of leaking confidential police documents
The Security Investigation Agency initiated a case of intentionally revealing state secrets at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
On May 26, Thai Binh Provincial Police announced that the person under investigation is the head of a department at the Thai Binh Department of Natural Resources and Environment. According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Khanh - Director of the Department, the officer still comes to work every day.
This man is suspected of using a photocopied document with a confidential stamp sent by Thai Binh Provincial Police to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and a number of local agencies in June 2020.

The Security Investigation Agency believes that this document fell into the hands of Vu Van Son (38 years old, nicknamed Son "Long"), causing him in a closed group on social networks to warn his juniors to be vigilant and take precautions against illegal buying and selling of invoices.
On September 21, 2020, Son "Long" was prosecuted and detained by Thai Binh Provincial Police on charges of showing signs of crime.Intentionally revealing state secrets, as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 337 of the Penal Code, immediately after a junior revealed confidential documents stored on his mobile phone.
Recovering the data in the phone, the Security Investigation Agency determined that the image of Son "Long"'s text was the image saved in the officer's mobile phone. However, he denied having transferred it to Son "Long".
In addition to the above case, Son "Long" is also being investigated for his behavior.Theft, embezzlementandIllegal purchase and sale of invoices,with two accomplices Pham Thi Mo (54 years old) and Nguyen Thi Dieu (26 years old).
Son "Long" is a gangster, has a criminal record.Intentional injury.After being released from prison, Son established a business company in the field of trading construction materials and construction site clearance in Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province and neighboring areas.
