Nghe An province proposes to limit the organization of religious ceremonies

June 7, Provincial People's CommitteeNghe Anhas urgent document No. 3642/UBND-NC "Regarding strengthening measures to prevent and control Covid-19 epidemic at religious and belief establishments in the new situation" to the Religious Affairs Committee - Department of Home Affairs; Provincial Police; Department of Health; People's Committees of districts, cities and towns of Nghe An province.

The Religious Affairs Committee - Department of Home Affairs calls on and commends affiliated religious organizations, dignitaries, officials, monks and nuns, and followers to promote the spirit of humanity and charity to accompany the government in preventing and fighting the epidemic and mobilizing contributions to support the "Fund".vaccineCovid-19 Prevention and Control in Vietnam” of the Government; select and honor collectives and individuals of religious churches with outstanding achievements in Covid-19 prevention and control, propose the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to promptly encourage and reward according to regulations.
The Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Police to coordinate with the Religious Affairs Committee - Department of Home Affairs to work so that dignitaries and officials strictly implement epidemic prevention and control measures and ensure security and order in the area, at the same time proactively fight against subjects who take advantage of and distort the epidemic situation to cause instability in the area; review and grasp the activities of associations and groups under the name of religion to promptly report and advise the Party Committee and authorities on appropriate management, combat and handling measures according to the law.
The Department of Health provides information and documents to serve the propaganda work, guiding religious organizations, dignitaries, officials, and representatives of religious establishments and beliefs to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.
The People's Committees of districts, cities and towns assign forces to directly work with religious dignitaries, officials, representatives of religious establishments, beliefs, and concentrated religious activities in the province to propagate and guide the strict implementation of regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control, especially compliance with 5K measures, posting warning signs... at religious establishments; propagate and mobilize religious dignitaries, officials, and followers to promote the humanitarian and charitable spirit of religions, accompany the government in epidemic prevention and control and mobilize contributions to support the "Vietnam Covid-19 Vaccine Fund of the Government".
The People's Committees of districts, cities and towns direct the People's Committees of communes, wards and towns to strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of Covid-19 epidemic prevention measures by religious establishments and places of concentrated religious activities./.
